I'm not that good at the game,so what I did was keep dynamic difficulty on and use Armors sliders as he has them in the first post.

I have played several games this way and today got around to finally starting my franchise. I'm currently standing at Veteran for hitting and All star for pitching and had some great test games and won my opener against the Rangers 6-3 in extra innings.

So for those that may be having trouble and aren't that good at the game (like me...lol) give dynamic difficulty a shot with Armors sliders, you might just be surprised.

btw, great job on the sliders Armor
I played around with this today. It was actually quite fun in a few play now games. I am going to keep going with it. Thank you, and No.27 for the suggestions. I am glad I just didn't hang it up. It was fun to just relax and play, and not get frustrated trying to do everything right so to say.

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

I currently have it at default,I will move it down to 0 when I feel comfortable, and I will admit I'm getting close to it now.

I suggested this a while back. I am glad to hear someone has actually tried it (I didn't).

I am struggling with the Yankees. Here's my thing...

I'm sitting 7-5, and having a generally good time--but I am STRUGGLING to get hits. My team average is 28th (.223). The real Yanks are currently hitting .265 as a team. I'm getting good hit variety, but I even bumped up HUM contact and timing by 1 (I think...not at my console), but am STILL really struggling to get decent amount of hits/runs.

...which, in turn, is making me NOT go to HOF pitching; although I think I am 'good' enough, as my ERA is 2nd in MLB and K's are 3rd (or so). Problem is, my hitting is so poor, I can't justify increasing pitching difficulty--cause it's all I can do to win now with such anemic hitting. I have to have the CPU have anemic hitting too to stay in games, lol.

I hate to just 'test' dynamic difficulty in my franchise, as I don't want to 'tune' my settings, while actually playing my season.

Question, if I switch to DD and do some play now games, and then go into franchise mode and switch to DD, will it put me where I was during those play now games, or will it put me at rookie (or w/e default is)?

I'll add to this, I feel like I am early on 90%+ of pitches. Do you suggest I increase(?) pitch speeds--each by 1?

I played a cpl spring training games before i decided on it and really enjoyed those games. I thinks its the way to go if your struggling on offense. I can finally hit.

How is this working out for you? I'm considering it myself to try and cut down on those 2 strike pitches that I aim way out of the zone but just seem to always find the middle of the plate. I give up soooo many hits on 0-2 counts.

Honestly if it makes the game better for you and seeing what you want any change that accomplishes that is the right change for "you".

I like CPU pitching exactly where it is for All-Star hitting.

How does DD know its me or just "thats baseball"? Why is a sac bunt by the pitcher deducted even if its successful. If I work the count and its a 11 pitch at bat and ends up being a hard liner to deep right, its deducted bc I didnt get a hit.

Really great game in my opinion, and watching Armor, Chef, and a few of you other guys has really been fun and inspiring. I just dont have it. I just cant pick it up. Classic pitching is awesome and the only way to play, I just cant get the mechanics down as every pitch either goes way out of the zone, or right down the middle. Batting I just cant be consistent enough. Its a great challenge, and I may be trying to hard to understand, but I just cant see the pitches well enough to be able to play with consistency. Armor, how you do this with no aids of any kind, is truly amazing. I'll still catch all your games, as well as Chef's and others. I may try to stick with RTTS and continue my MoM. At least this way, I dont make the players look like middle school dopes lol. I'll still watch this thread as it is the only one that is a joy to come into. Good luck to all you guys, and have a great season.

That's crazy talk. Glad to see these guys changed your mind.

I got a PlayStation for Christmas and bought Madden and MLBTS 16. This was my first video game in over a decade. I sucked. I still king of suck haha.

Two options that have worked for me:

One is to start with Armor's sliders and settings and tweak pitch speed until you feel confident.

The other is to play on DD with the sliders as is. It's not perfect but allows you to play on Veteran + which feels a lot like All-Star but is just more forgiving.

Whatever difficulty you settle on, turn the DD sensitivity down to 0, turn the DD feedback off and your good to go.

And don't worry too much about what settings you're on... a lot of people use these sliders with meter pitching, zone hitting, etc. Just find what works for you.

Well I think one of my problems was using the Braves. I know the Braves, but I don't know them like I know the Indians. I noticed playing I was doing better with them. I didn't want to play as the Indians bc I am using them in my MoM series. I'm at Veteran for both hitting and pitching in 3 play now games. I thought about going through Spring training in franchise and at the end, that was when I would move dd to 0 and play from there. I may play a few more games to bring it up closer before I do that. It really has helped bring some confidence back and make me feel better about playing.

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.
