Fielder Run Speed at 4 seems perfect. Did you feel that fielders were "stuck in the mud" as far as reactions to hard hits, hence the move to 8 for fielder reaction?

        Hey Mike,

Just curious, what are your observations of the fatigue rates of long relievers (guys who may have stamina ratings in the 50ish range) with the reliever stamina slider at 0?

I typically like to employ a "swingman" in my roster construction, but I don't necessarily want a guy like that becoming gassed after 20-30 pitches..

I have found that 3/1/5 gives good stats and lower RP overall app. as well.
I have decided to rotate the best three non-starter/non-bp guy, so each pitches two months of season. This allows the LRP to have no more than 40-60-IP for the entire season.

After reading about starters possibly being pulled too early in starts, I tinkered more w testing. I feel just a bump to 6 for starter stamina would be ideal. I'm now seeing the 20 pitchers at 200 IP threshold I was hoping for, and just slightly above the 60 CG across the entire MLB.

I'm also putting AI power at 4.

Gives these a test spin and let me know what you're seeing.

Reaction is high so that infielders catch more line drives instead of being scared and ducking

You could always sim at 0 and play at 5.

Love the look of these sliders definitely gonna give them a roll. Thanks for including zone hitting settings, you play directional primarily? Also great work on the sim sliders you really went all out!

I use zone hitting, but w cursor off.

One other thing. How do you handle pitchers in playoffs? Like the other thread on the front page about the stamina issue where teams use all 5 pitchers in playoffs and you can't use a 4 man rotation. Do you edit playoff pitchers stamina ratings or change sliders for playoffs?

And just something I wanted to mention about my way of playing that some people might find interesting. I think Bobhead actually wrote about this but it might have been someone else. I use Analog pitching but once you are good at it it's pretty easy to hit the mark every time and be really accurate. So what I like to do is leave the cursor in the middle of the plate then aim from that point using the analog stick. So I don't aim for the marker because that would be a meatball, if I want to pitch low I try to push the stick up while it's under the meter line, then aim left or right of the mark to pitch inside or outside.

I feel it's much harder to be accurate using that just as in real life I don't feel it's realistic to pinpoint a location then hit the location like in a videogame. I figure most pitchers generally aim to a quadrant not a precise point. It feels more thrilling to me and difficult just a tip if anyone out there wants an added challenge with pitching. It also helps the user get a more realistic strike/ball ratio. And it makes you be very careful pitching to power hitters because you can easily mess up

I've yet to make the playoffs, but here is how I would handle it, assuming Sony never fixes it:

I would max out the SP stamina slider at the start of a game
I would try and select the correct SP for the team I'm playing and myself
I would then lower the SP stamina slider as the game progresses

I'm not sure, but do the other AI playoff teams use 4-man rotations?

It's amazing what this game misses, but then we're shown videos of all of the new OF celebrations...maybe I'm old, but I can't stand the direction I see this game heading sometimes. Just a personal preference is all.

                            Yes! Sliders that use zone!

Quick question though, why is power and timing lower on zone? Isn't it more difficult? Thanks, will definitely be using these.

It is more difficult...until it suddenly becomes far less difficult

I am gonna employ this system to get the LRP issue resolved.

April - use #3 bp option as LRP (option beyond seven best initial options).

May and June - use #2 bp option

July till end of season - use #1 bp option

you can leave the cpu, with 30-tm. control on all Auto and just check the PR's quick each day. And can make the LRP change for each team.

this will rarely allow the LRP to go over 100-IP and 15-decisions for the entire season.

Great work Mike and all other community brethren !!!!
