My experience on veteran, using the numbers from post #1, felt like I'd been returned to swinging a wet noodle with old physics aka as if I were playing last year's game again. Plenty of contact, no balls driven for me or computer. Both were no-hit through 7. Putting hit power and timing back up have restored the physics aspect, at least, so something to work with.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Started a new test franchise (Miami) last night & played only 5 games...

      I'm batting .205 with 3 HR's (Bour 2, Ozuna 1) & 2 2Bs. Don't mind getting off to a slow start, I can reach a hot streak @ any point...

What concerns me (for lack of a better word) are the number of times I'd square up the ball, the PCI would turn green, feedback would say good timing, the ball would in the center of the circle with the result a weak fly ball where the OF would drift under for a routeine out...

Not "wrong" but a few balls I'd hit towards the gap, which would easily be 2B's last year & before tweaks were made resulted in "can of corn" outs...

Minus the 5 XBH, every hit was from a blooper / bleeding fly ball just over the infielders reach...

LOVE having to work & earn everything I get... this is more More feedback (not criticism)...

And it really felt as though the bat was getting knocked out of nearly every hitter's hands. Perhaps it comes back to skill level in some aspects, but the 'getting overpowered' repeatedly seemed unrealistic. :/

Interesting. I'm going to stream an exhibition game now if anyone's around to chat. Rosters will be out on Saturday, so we have some more time to tinker.

I've been keeping an eye on this forum for a bit and after some frustration decided to plug in your set. I gotta say I really like what I'm seeing. Power at 1 and fielder spd at 4 has opened up a part of the game not seen near default. 2Q's... When you pitch, do throw what the catcher calls? Have you tried cpu timing at 1 with the current set? Good stuff.

You should watch the 4 innings I just streamed (will post full results after this meeting and after I finish the game later). I'm seeing some good things, and we seem to counter balance the experiences nice using the same exact sliders.

I agree 100% Was having the same experience in my most recent stream. I typically follow what my catcher calls, but will override him on occasion, just like real life.

Mike... For using ur sliders on Veteran hitting, what sliders would need to be raised? If anything.

I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable offering suggestions.

Keep practicing--HoF isn't as scary as you might be imagining.

Was there for the 1st inning & liked what I saw, I'll surely check out the rest of the game stream later...

One thing I'm learning is how differently this game can play from user to user based on each user's settings (not just slider variance)

You use the "MLB 15" cam, I was using "retro". You wouldn't think these seemingly shuttle differences would make such a difference, bit it might/does... I noticed differences in pitch speeds right away & will run another test using the same camera.

My advise to anyone adopting sliders from any slider maker is to mirror the slider makers settings to "T" before judging...

And that "keep an eye on balls that FEEL like HR's but land at the warning track" wasn't sarcasm... just bringing your attention to what I was seeing earlier

5 games into my test franchise, only once has either team scored more than 4 runs...and I am 29th in the league in ba and leading the pitching stats in striking out the cpu...think the offense feels just a touch under powered...

Though maybe it's just me! Garret Richards has struck out 20 in his two starts, the rest of the staff has struck out 30 so that answers that. But I as a team I'm hitting .190, middle of the pack for doubles and 5 hr although 3 came in the same game when I had power on 2...haven't hit one since dropping to 1 over the last 3 games. Small sample size, I know!

I lowered both pitch speeds a click, made all the difference....
