Yeah man, just different folks getting slightly different results. I'm still a bit too overpowered perhaps on offense, but my sample size is still small too since the update (need to finish my game from earlier still and report back).

Mike, I'm going to try these out for a bit. Currently hitting zone with legend difficulty and directional on HOF. The results just aren't realistic. I've hit 3 bombs in 5 games with mondesi jr.

Hey guys, I'll be streaming the second half of that test game I started yesterday. We'll keep reviewing statistical output every inning or so, and take a deep look at the game's conclusion.

If you're around, check out the stream on my YouTube channel linked in my signature. I will be online in about 20 minutes from now.

Maybe OT, but anyway to reduce the number of batted balls hitting the pitcher? I know that's a recurring issue with this game. Maybe they need to work on post pitch animations that get the pitcher to move his feet better.

I'm wondering if fielder reaction combined with the pitcher's fielding ability is the determining factor here. For what it's worth, in that last game I just stream, I saw two balls hit up the middle for singles, without touching the pitcher whatsoever.

                Mike,

Just watched part-2 of your latest stream, The offense "IS" (are?) there with these sliders IMO...

Your sliders with no variation but switching camera views from "retro" to "15" has really opened things up for me. Batting camera views alter pitch delivery speeds a bit, so for those struggling or finding these sliders too easy to hit... experiment. I personally prefer the "retro" camera & will adjust pitch speed accordingly...

Chatter in other threads suggest turning wind down leads to better ball physics? Overdone wind may be carrying fly ball "feeling" outs (like Arcia's) over the fence, knocking down HR hit felt fly balls & may have been contributing to HR's completely leaving stadiums before user power was adjusted?

Before these sliders & before power was turned down, I once remember a ball hit to me high into the OF gap... my initial thought being "should I switch to my CF for this one?" That ball ended up landing foul, roughly 20 rows up the LF line...

Looking forward to the sliders you're rolling with this season, I will be using them too.

I just got the game - and am new to baseball games as a whole. I'm someone who always wants sports games to be as realistic as possible and after reading a bit of the replies in this thread I think these ones would be a safe bet. My question is, I am new to the game and not very good. I also dont know all the ins and outs of baseball. I notice a lot of things in the set imply difficulty for the user like 'hall of fame' difficulty. Will I be absolutely slaughtered with this slider set? Are these not recommended for a beginner? If so, do you have any recommendations for other sliders I should I look? or advice on how I can best improve my game? Thanks for all your work!

                    Haha yes thank you lol

Wind is a factor, and I would have liked what I saw if the wind was 14 and not 4. Maybe we bump that down a notch or two? Zero would probably work too, but that's just not very fun!

Hard to say. Try some exhibition games where you're a MLB team vs a AA team.

As someone new and unfamiliar to the game, anything is going to be a bit challenging. I would say though that it's worth learning and falling in love with!

Thanks for the quick reply! Quick question, I am watching one of your gameplay videos and I notice when you are fielding there is no throwing meter above your players - how do you know when to time the button press? muscle memory?

Yep, exactly. It's just a feel. Also, I've mostly been using auto fielding because of the added animations it provides.

When I go manual, I do keep the visual aid for throwing off.

I see a bunch those two days while simming, but I wonder if a quick sim approach affects that? I have only progressed naturally (1 day at a time) past that point in MLB '15, and I honestly don't remember the amount of activity that took place. I know the settings work well for simming through a season, but I'd be surprised if the game acted differently with slow/fast playing through the calendar.

Either way, you can't go higher than 10, and that's where I have it set for July 30-31st.

Experamented with the wind slider yesterday. quite a difference when raising or lowering the slider, you should check it out.
