Yes, and unless you're simulating YOUR games, the LR spot doesn't matter for YOUR team.

Ok awesome, thanks! I will do this when I finish up my edits before jumping in my Franchise.

How do sim stats look with setting up all bullpens like that? Teams bringing appropriate pitchers, etc?

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

THis may be the wrong thread but being a new user (long time lurker), I am unable to post. Through 14 games, I am batting .309 as a team, the HR numbers match up, and the runs scored seem fine if not low. I can't seem to find a good balance to lower average, increase doubles, and keep HR's about the same. I'm afraid if I lower contact I'm going to drop from 3.9 runs a game to like 2. Any suggestions?

For my next game, I'm going to try user contact at 6. That's the only human change.

For CPU, I'm trying CPU timing +1 to 1 and increasing CPU foul frequency +1 to 2.

For the CPU changes, I'm hoping for a bit more offense, which will actually come a bit naturally as they take slightly better swings.

            Thoughts?

I'm using human contact 6 right now and have had to increase power back to 2 (Freeman home run and markakis double out of the 5 hits so far). Cpu have 2 runs on 3 hits so could maybe do with a boost. Am last in pitching strikeouts, so wouldn't want to impact the two main sliders that affect that. Was thinking solid hits to 6 instead of contact up as prev discussed? or just contact not timing/vice versa...according to slider description I think contact increases timing window at the same time so...

For sure. I'm looking to make the best solid contact I can with every swing.

I'm about to resume this game in a bit, but I'm up 4-0 in the 4th inning after a 3-run bomb by Yellich.

I'm starting to think that maybe contact at 6 isn't the best answer, as my BABIP is still low. I'm actually thinking that zone user timing up +1 to 5 and then possibly lowering fielder speed one more notch, however, the AI is already having a good BABIP, which is why I think fielder speed might be fine where it is.

                    Thinking aloud...no official changes yet.

What a game! Check out the last two at bats for the Marlins here. Had to really work for it, and you should watch all 3 minutes https://twitter.com/mikelowe_OS/stat...744847872?s=09

                      Mets BABIP .296 (beautiful)
                      19% foul balls
                      19% misses+Ks on total swings
                      Hit 2 HRs

                      Marlins BABIP .160
                      13% foul balls
                      20% misses+Ks on total swings
                      Hit 3 HRs

Damn, those look good. CPU feels perfect. They also walked 4 times and struck out 7 times.

For user, my BABIP is still way low, and I hit 3 homeruns that game which actually lowers BABIP. I think I know what I want to try next for user though... stay tuned.

Version 1.6 updated on first post. I'm very optimistic about these tweaks, and guys keep working for your offense; it'll come. Worse case, put user contact to 6 for zone (I'm sticking w 5)

Here are the changes for v1.6:

                        Human Timing - 5 (5 zone)
                        Human Foul Frequency - 5 (6 zone)
                        Human Pitcher Consistency - 2
                        CPU Timing - 1
                        CPU Foul Frequency - 2
                        Fielder Run Speed - 2

I'm hoping for more user offense, but not through the inflated power we see with contact at 6. I want more singles, doubles, and a higher BABIP while keeping the nice balance we have with foul balls and swings and misses. Fielder run speed being lowered again will help with that without having to overinflate offense.

Users also had too many wild pitches.

Let me know what you're seeing!

Correction: Leaving user foul frequency where it was.

User hitting sliders nearly default. San Diego Studios did a nice job tuning this year it seems.

I was having real trouble getting anything going using directional. I was under the impression that you used directional. Do you use Zone?

I switched to zone in the middle of the game I'm in and first batter I hit a double off the wall on a hanging slider.

Hey Mike Lowe. I watched your most recent game on You Tube and it is very odd that the Nats left Blanton in for so long. I think IRL they would have went to the pen, even though he was pretty effective. Blanton is much more of a bridge guy. With the Nats leaving him in so long....does this make you consider moving the Manager Hook even higher once they go to the pen?

Update: after switching to zone and changing all the sliders around the first 3 batters went double, single, 453ft bomb.

I really need to find a happy medium on my offense. The only thing I had different is the PCI on Recticle but it's turned off on the screen anyway.

Any thoughts on how to find a happy medium?
