I really need to find a happy medium on my offense. The only thing I had different is the PCI on Recticle but it's turned off on the screen anyway.

Any thoughts on how to find a happy medium?

Can't speak for Mike here & I'd wait to hear what he has to say before tweaking too much. You may want to simply bump up pitcher speed here?

I originally used Mike's sliders AS IS & found the slider too tough. I lowered pitch speed, thought this was my happy in-between but the game then became too easy for me so I'm back to these sliders AS IS again...

SO many little variables which can be tweaked (pitch speed, camera angles, on screen aid removals etc...) before tweaking these sliders IMO...

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Being perplexed with this years slider is an understatement. Playing Mets / Phillies game yesterday, I was clobbering the Phillies. I hit 5 HRs in an 8-1 win. So I went ahead and changed my sliders to reflect closer to Mike's set by lowering Power. I hit one of the five HRs after the changes I made. So what did the real-life Mets do last night? 7 HRs and 20 hits in a complete thrashing of the Phils 14-4.

I will say I rarely had games like I do now in last years game.

Guys, a few at bats or even one game is no sample size. Why are people tweaking sliders based on so little?

Mike question I am having one issue with the sliders. I have played over 8 games now and I cant get the computer to keep the starter in for more then 75 pitches roughly. I updated the stamina to 7 and lowered the hook to 1 and even spent a game just bunting to keep his pitch count down. Any suggestions? Starting pitcher coming out way too soon.

What are the scores of your games when this is happening? Situation is still the biggest deciding factor when the AI will pull a starter.

I definitely won't. I'm going to keep playing and testing. I was more so just speaking out of frustration from not being able to play realistically. I really appreciate the time and effort you've put into these. It's way more time than I ever would be able to. So thank you.

I wasn't tweaking right away. I had played 10 games with directional and the sliders exactly as they are and wasn't getting good results. So I asked a few questions and began tinkering so that I could get realistic result for my games.

It's also important to remember that not every guy playing the game has the same skills. Tweaking sliders doesn't make you press the swing button at the right time. I was curious if whether he was using directional or zone and if anybody else was having a hard time using directional?

For sure. I enjoy doing it, so I'm glad folks are finding it helpful.

                      Last few games....

Starter taken out at 72 pitches in the middle of the inning down 3-1

Next was 68 pitches starter taken out again in middle of inning down 5-3

Then the computer was up 10-1 and took Brandon Mccarthy out in the start of the 8th with only 81 pitches and they let him hit in bottom of 7th.

Guys, I think we found the sweet spot w v1.6! Wow wow wow!

Top of 1st, scored 2 runs on 3 hits, and a sacrifice fly. 2 2Bs in the inning and thrown out trying to stretch single by Bour into our 3rd 2B.

Mike... I use Classic pitching on HOF, I should be fine with Human Pitch Control & Consistency at 2, correct?

Ive been using classic pitching with Pitcher Control at 3 and Pitcher Consistency at 4. Im seeing good results if you want to try it out.

Mike, digging the sliders man. I just have two questions and anyone with a potential answer feel free to respond.

First, I'm having trouble hitting. I can work counts pretty good just cant seem to square a lot up. I was thinking of dropping it to All-Star until I get better. Would these sliders work for All-Star in your opinion and if not, any tips on what adjustments I should make?

Second. I dont feel like I'm giving up enough walks. Averaging about 1 a game. Any tips for making it a little more difficult to hit the strike zone
