Just won 3-2 on a Kipnis extra inning oppo Hr off of Betances. It was a high outside 2 strike pitch that Kipnis drove the other way.

All my runs came on solo hrs and I had a BABIP of .100 (yuck lol)

It was a pitcher's duel most of the game but the Yanks put up some hits in the 9th when Allen blew the save allowing them to tie it up.
NY had a BABIP of .292

Definitely didn't feel like a HR derby like my previous game. Encarnacion did have a 454 ft blast but the other 2 HRs, along with Kip's walk off, were wall scrapers. Really didn't get a lot of hard hits in this one. Like I said earlier, it was a pitcher's duel most of the game going into the 8th with us up 2-0.

Mainly for my games, I just don't want power to be over the top. The first game I played with v1.16 made me feel like it might be a little much but after playing this recent game, it might have just been one of those nights for my bats in Boston. Obviously a 2 game sample isn't much to go by so I'll probably get some more games in tmrw night hopefully and see how it plays out.

Let us know what you guys are seeing with the new set. Enjoying testing these.

What I plan to do for sweet spot of user HRs etc is decrease user power in increments of 1, and offsetting it with an increase in increments of 1 to user solid hits.

Orange test set and then 1:1 ratio for those tinkerings above. We want some of those HRs to be 2Bs and even solid singles.

KC Royal franchise finally under way...

Am liking v.16 so far & will monitor user power -vs- solid hits...

The game "feels" different from what the prior slider sets brought, which doesn't mean they are "wrong". User timing this low REALLY challenged me in game one but things leveled out for game two...

Hit a HR with Sal Perez which "felt" great! Camera instantly shifted to behind the batter & the ball landed only 6 seats shy off completely leaving Target Field however... the wind was blowing in @ 10 MPH...

Will report back with more data after a few more games...

Just a reminder now that it's May, for anyone playing along with MLB schedule, you need to bump your trade frequency slider up to 3.

Latest version has been uploaded to the vault, and first post updated as well. To better align with the game's patches, I'm calling this version 2.0.

I'm quite happy w this set, but we'll still want to monitor as it's touchy, and our sample size is not huge.

My last game I had a BABIP of .304 while scoring just 1 run, no homeruns. I struck out 9 times.

The AI beat me 6-1 (we've lost 4 of our last 5!), and hit 1 HR and had a team BABIP of .451. They struck out 10 times and hit 2 2Bs.

There were zero wild pitches this game, although I did bean one guy, and there was 1 total error.

We fouled off 21% and missed on 26% of our swings. They had 18% for both.

The only issue I'm still weighing on is whether we try and bump up AI contact to 5 or 6, and lower their timing to 0 to offset. Only reason I'm considering is it may make them slightly more dangerous, but also more patient.

Truth is, I like where 2.0 is, and hope the AI forces us to pitch more carefully ie earn more walks.

I will be streaming a slider chat about 2.0 later today, so follow my YouTube or Twitter for notifications on that.

So with this set will we still need to go in game options and change stamina and hook??

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Well, I have quite the flattering announcement to share:

The organizer of the OSFM rosters, Ridin, has reached out to me via Twitter to ask about a partnership making these sliders the official sliders of OSFM.

                        What an honor!

I'm glad we all get to be part of this, and I am excited to share this announcement as we work together to continue to help one another find the best Show experience.

To celebrate our partnership, we're going to do a dual LIVE stream today at 6:45pm ET. I'll be streaming it all on my YouTube channel, and I'll party/chat Ridin in.

                        Huge Announcement #2:

Not only that, but Ridin and I will be doing a live preview of he and his team's brand new OSFM rosters v2.5!

                        Are you kidding me!?!?

This roster is not even released yet to the public, so this will be the first time anyone sees the updates. I'll be taking requests, as most of you care about the finer details more than me.
