Off topic, I can't tell you how much I HATE the new ball to bat sounds! Granted, they will be fixed with the next patch, but hitting a screaming line drive but listening to what sounds like the bat cracking gives the illusion that balls are traveling faster & harder than they should be IMO... killing the game for me.

I think the problem I've got is it feels like Freeman vs the rest of the braves! I know it's not a very powerful line-up, but when I've got a bunch of guys with 30s and 40s in the power column, I just find everything is a weak fly ball to the outfield, nothing is driven, I never come close to the warning track...and then there's Freeman line driving balls off the centre field wall on the fly and crushing 485 ft home runs even on power 1...nice problem to have but feel like there's got to be a middle ground!!

It feels like a much better challenge and the CPU takes advantage of a lot more mistakes. Never did it feel cheap or OP. If you're looking for a challenge, I'd definitely recommend it!
Thanks, might give it a go for a while see what the results are!

Are you still using one of the earlier slider sets? V's 1.1 - 1.13 or v.14?

What I've always enjoyed about Mike's sliders year after year, is that the sliders tend to be a little too hard for me. Every hit, HR, SB & run scoring rally felt earned...

Either V.14 is a bit easy (hitting wise) or I'm simply getting better?

          I think I'm on 15 now. 6 contact 1 power 3 timing 9 solid.

Freeman meanwhile is slashing .348/.388/.854!!! He has 13 of my team's 20 home runs and has driven in 28 of the team's 66 runs. He also has 4 of the 27 doubles and 1 of 3 triples. My next best hitter is Inciarte batting .260 with one extra base hit and Phillips hitting .256. Kemp, Markakis and Adonis Garcia are all hitting below .200!

I tried putting power up to 2 and dropping solid hits to 8. Freeman hit two two run home runs against Syndergaard in three innings. So basically I need to nerf freddie!!!
Doesn't sound that far off from real life MLB, to be honest. The league needs Freddie Freeman sliders right now. He's hitting .380 with an OPS 1.269.

Just getting settled in after being out of town. How are folks feeling post-patch? I'm reading that perhaps the user offense was better on v1.12?

You've all played more than me post-patch at this point as I was gone.

                Thanks for sharing!

Have only played 3-4 games with v.14, not enough games to influence any tweaks you may (may not?) make...

With you gone & this forum a little quiet, I've experimented with A&S's & TNK's sets. Completely respect what these slider makes bring to these boards, but I'm clearly a HOF (Legend?) zone, meter guy & in the right place. Oddly enough while using these other sets & with power raised & solid hits closer to default, the bat to ball sounds aren't as bad. Wonder if us extremely raising solid hits or lowering power influences this?

Anyway, welcome back. Once you're settled in & get a few games in, DO report back. I'm starting (and finishing) a season which what ever you throw out there next... v.14 or v.15.

One interesting thing I'm noticing is that power has an influence on groundball speed too.

The AI is hitting solid pitches through the IF, raising their BABIP to an appropriate level. I'm seeing too many user solid hits turn into groundouts.

Seems we may need to borrow some sliders from those AI hitters as far as solid contact balance goes, which yes, could mean less solid hits, but more power.

Are you guys seeing enough CPU swinging misses on Legend pitching? I seem to be getting a lot of first pitch outs and getting only about 15% misses on swings.

                          Hey Mike

                          Nice sliders, question:

Do all your sliders make a difference in the simulation (quick manage mode)?

Or is it just the Starter/Reliever Stamina and Manager hook (those ones you specifically highlighted with "Sim")?

I'm working on a v1.15 right now, comparing side-by-side v1.12 and v1.14. The one question I have is what are folks finding out most recently about the glitchy base stealing? I don't think this was addressed in the patch, and I know there are workarounds to steal basically 100% of the time, but have we determined what the right middle ground is in terms of realism?

Thanks for filling me in as I get caught back up after being gone...

Those three plus trade frequency and injury frequency are the only ones that affect simulated games.

Try and hit your spots as best as you can, both in regards to the strike zone and on the meter itself.
