It's been different games with different sliders, even playing on rookie and I can't see the difference it always a hit with the ball getting popped or snagged for an out, my discipline is fine with your sliders I drew 3 walks on Chris sale so I'm working the count. Thanks for your time and I appreciate the effort you put on these sliders.
I'm also struggling with a lot of pop ups (playing directional/all star/solid hits 6). Not sure if directional is forcing the pop ups, or if it's still poor timing despite it saying good. I'd say about 30% of my outs are pop ups. I also hit almost only singles. Very few XBH's including HR's.

The problem for me is directional hitting this year, I changed to zone and I am seeing more hits, doubles, triples and HR.

I'm about to start a franchise with these sliders with the Braves. I was doing a test one with the Astros and was just ripping the ball on someone's "all star" sliders. Will these be more of a challenge as I step up to Hall of Fame with a bad offense like the Braves?

I'm a Braves fan waiting for the Hybrid roster, and I'm also doing a Test Franchise with the Astros. Even with the Astros, this set provides a great challenge.

Same, but testing with the Mariners. Only problem is I can't keep my concentration/interest level in every pitch playing a franchise that I don't really care about...so that skewers my testing.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

I am up to date with the real life schedule with my braves chise (just finished the set in Philly). 8-10 so couple games up on real life. Currently last in the league in hits, walks, runs and doubles, 28th in average and 23rd in hrs. 1st in the league in fewest strikeouts.

I have increased contact to 6 with power 0, solid 9 and timing 3 for the next game with the idea that the sweetspot on the pci reticle will be a bit bigger and might convert some soft liners into the gaps into hard hit extra base hits into the gaps...otherwise these are still playing so well

Worth pointing out that I was 2 hit three times in the first week when we still had solid hits at 5 so I've pulled myself up from those depths! Also, I've never been blown out by the cpu so it's just another thing to monitor. Their clutch hitting seems to suck. They hit three balls hard then scuffle like mad and maybe score one if they're lucky, don't know what to do on that score...still as I say, they are giving me just about the most enjoyable Show experience ever so I'll roll with it!

I want to send my Cubs on a crippling losing streak that pushes me from four games up to ten games back. As Harry Caray says, you can't go on a June Swoon (try not to bust out laughing when he says that). But I don't want all my players to bed batting .160, nor do I want to throw my 60 dollar controller. I play quick manage, jumping in during big moments. What do you recommend?

Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!

Guys struggling with directional, I think I found a solution, you do choose zone take off the pci and just let it be on the middle and try to swing just like directional, it's working for me better than the directional,so if you can try it and give me confirmation it's a viable solution we might help a lot of people.

See what you think of v.1.13.

                    • Pitching Difficulty - HoF or Legend (I'm going to try Legend)
                    • Hot Zones - Off (to help with more walks while pitching to AI)
                    • Human Contact - 6
                    • Human Timing - 5 (2 zone)
                    • Human Pitcher Consistency - 4 (to allow for some more freedom because the AI should be noticeably more difficult)
                    • CPU Contact - 6
                    • CPU Solid Hits - 7
                    • CPU Pitcher Consistency - 4
                    • Baserunner Speed - 3 (or keep it at 2, and lower fielder run speed to 1)
                    • Baserunner Steal Ability - 7 (this needs a patch, truthfully)

Before I forget to mention it, I'll be out of town most of this week, so please excuse the late replies.

Trade your team for the Reds for like 2 weeks

Line drives will balance out--sometimes they get through for hits, and other times they are caught.

Same goes for bloops or even weak infield hits. It'll even out--that's baseball.

This is 100% wrong. Not trying to be a dick or anything.... but it still moves even with the PCI indicator turned off. It just doesn't distract the screen because with it on the screen is too arcade and busy looking in my opinion

These are very good as usual and I am having some really competitive games, just need a bit more offense on each side. Seems like we are on the same page as I have/was going to make some of the same changes you just made with the new version, my ERA through April was 2.14 and BAPIP has been very low on both sides, which seems like a common problem.

I recently dropped fielder run speed to 1 and upped base runner speed to 3 just to try to pump up BAPIP any was possible, wasn't seeing hardly any infield hits and many balls down the line were not going for doubles that I thought should.

I also upped human power to 1 (zone) and I'm seeing my huge pop up problem improve. With the power at 0 I felt like a lot of the balls I hit well were not going anywhere. I had 18 HR through 20 games so not bad but through a few games my BAPIP has been around .300 so hopefully might be something to that.

CPU hitting in general just needs to feel more threatening, was going to ask you what you thought about going to legend so glad your on the same page. Even with control way down you can pretty much throw strikes at will so getting realistic numbers comes down to the CPU to be threatening enough that you want to nibble enough to walk people.

Anyways just a few comments but overall I think these are very competitive (at least for me) and could be great with a few more tweaks.

I've gone contact 6 power 1. I did have timing at 3 but it was a hack of a challenge and so I've moved that to 4. Mike, I think the 2 level is a real plus for k's but nailing a pitch is going to be super hard!
