To anyone that is wondering if these would work on Meter pitching and these do. I been using Meter for a long time now cause I feel my pitcher has more control and less wild pitches than classic. What is nice on Meter is if your pitcher gets rocked he loses confidence and you lose the accuracy bar on the way back until you get some confidence back. Or if you do great the accuracy bar gets bigger. So it's nice to have the penalty and reward of it.

        Game 10
Tampa Bay Rays (5-5) @ Boston Red Sox (7-2)
        Archer vs Wright

I knew I wouldn't get much offense against Archer. Wright gave up a 2 singles and a sac fly in the 1st inning to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. In the 4th inning Betts singled and Ramirez hit a hanging slider over the green monster to make the game 2-1. Followed by a RBI double by Moreland to give the Red Sox a 3-2 lead. Wright settled in and end up going 6 innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits. In the 9th inning Kimbrel gave up a run and had the tying run at 1st before he struck out Weeks to end the game to give the Red Sox a 3-2 win.

        Rays 2 8 0
        Red Sox 3 6 0

        Rays: 1 3B, 1 BB, 10 K
        Red Sox: 2 2B, 1 HR, 8 K

        Stats after 10 games.
        AVG: .304 2nd
        Runs: 55 4th
        Doubles: 26 3rd
        Triples: 4 3rd
HR: 13 9th (I like the 2:1 ratio of extra base hits to HR)
Strikeouts: 54 1st (I would still like to see more strikeouts from my offense)
        ERA: 3.13 7th
        HR Allowed: 9 11th
BB Allowed: 14 1st (2nd place has 16, 3rd has 19 so not too far off)
        Strikeouts: 77 20th

          Game 11
          Rays (5-6) @ Red Sox (8-2)
          Cobb vs Sale

Sale and Cobb had a classic pitcher duel going. The game was scoreless going to the bottom of the 8th inning when Moreland hit a 2 out 2 strike solo HR to give the Red Sox a 1-0 lead. That ended Cobb's night. Sale went out in the 9th inning to close out the shutout complete game. Weeks was the first batter and hit a no doubter to CF to tie the game at 1. Sale would finish the inning. In the 10th inning Bogaerts would hit a 1 out triple and Moreland won it with a game winning single off the green monster to give the Red Sox their 5th win in a row in this thrilling game.

          Rays 1 4 0
          Red Sox 2 7 0

          Rays: 1 2B, 1 HR, 14 K
          Red Sox: 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 2 BB, 3 K

          • Sale goes 9 IP, 3 hits, 1 run, 14 K and is still trying to find his first win as a Red Sox. Sale is 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA in 3 starts.

          • Cobb goes 7.2 IP, 4 hits, 1 run in a tough no decision in this game. He finishes with a 1.80 ERA for the season.

            Game 12
            Odorizzi vs Price

Had a weird game. Both pitchers gave up lots of hits. Price goes 6 IP, 10 hits, 3 runs with 14 K.

            Rays 3 14 0
            Red Sox 5 14 0

            Rays: 3 2B, 17 K
            Red Sox: 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 K

Played my second game with the new sliders and this game was way different from my first which was 15-4 I think.

              CHC 2 6 0
              PIT 1 8 1

              CHC - 3 Doubles, 1 HR(Compared to 9 last game), GIDP, 2 BB's 4 K's
              PIT - just singles and a SB 14 K's

Wade LeBlanc held me to just 1 run on two hits

The Pirates 14 K's came from Lackey who only lasted two hitters before getting hurt, then from Montgomery who pitched to the 8th inning.

Huge difference between games. Is having the pitch speeds both on 5 giving you more of a challenge?

Yes huge difference. I must have been seeing that pitcher better than Lebanc. With Leblanc I was in front of more balls and popping up a lot more.

Yes the pitch speed being at 5 has affected it especially with a slower off-speed pitcher. Adelman for the Reds it wasn't as slow with the off-speed pitches

                  On to the next game

                    Game 3 on new sliders

                    CHC 6 11 0
                    PIT 1 3 0

                    CHC - 1 Double, 1 HR, HBP, SF, GIDP, 4 BB's. 7 K's, CS
                    PIT - 2B, HBP, 5 BB's, 6 K's

I singled them to death to score most of the runs this game, I walked them a lot on the pitching side but was almost always able to get out of trouble except in the 9th with Grimm. He gave up one run.

I'm still not giving up much runs. I may need to up a slider for the CPU or change my level on pitching. I have always been really good on the pitching side of the game. My only concern with that is that I will suffer on the hitting side, but as of right now I have won 18 games in April with only two losses

Maybe lower your pitching Consistency would help? I'm pitching good too now but don't know if it's just a stretch or it's the sliders.

Ok so lowered Consistency to 2 and pitcher control to 3 for this game

                        CHC 5 10 0
                        PIT 0 3 2

                        CHC - 2 Doubles, 2 HR's, HBP, 2 GIDP, 3 BB's, 3 K's
                        PIT - nothing for them 0 BB's 14 K's (13 for Arrieta)

Faced Gerrit Cole and I hit better against him then LeBlanc. Cole's off speed just don't break or as slow as LeBlanc's was so I was able to get around on them. Arreita was on the mound for me and well you can see I held them to nothing

Ok so I had to replay the game and after having such a dominant game even with the changes I left it alone and just changed it to HOF pitching. So Vet hitting HOP pitching with the new sliders. Here we go

                            CHC 6 11 1
                            PIT 4 7 0

                            CHC - 2 Doubles, 2 Triples, 2 HR's, HBP, GIDP, 4 BB's 8 K's
                            PIT - 1 Double, 1 HR, GIDP, 1 BB, 8 K's

This time Arrieta was coasting along only giving up 1 run into the 9th inning when he started giving up hits. I brought Uehara in who got the first out with two runners on then promptly gave up a 3 run shot to make it 6-4, and Davis came in for the save.

I raised my pitching difficulty to All-Star+ on this one with Porcello on the mound. He gave up 8 runs on 10 hits in 4 IP. I'm going to play about 5 games with this to see if that was just a bad outing or what. They hit 4 HR off me so I don't want it to make it off balance. I also lowered my Hunan Timing to 1 to try to get more strikeouts. Still had only 5 strikeouts.

                                Rodriquez vs Happ

Well it was a pitchers duel and scoreless until the 7th inning. The Red Sox got the leadoff man on and he went to 2nd on a error pick off throw. With 2 outs Holt hit a single up the middle to make the game 1-0. That ended Happ's night at 6.2 IP, 4 hits, 1 run and 4 K. Betts made it a 2-0 game with a solo HR in the 8th. Herrera hit a solo HR in the 8th to make it 2-1. The Red Sox would add one more before Kimbrel would get his 5th save if the season.

Glad to see I was able to pitch with Allstar+ after giving up 11 runs the last game.
