Having the same thing happening to me. Can’t stop the bleeding no matter who I put in. Playing with the Braves and every game recently against the nationals. It’s as if a quality team like cubs, nats, or dodgers are losing by the 5-7th innings, good luck. They rally for 4-5 every time.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '18 Sliders
I love these sliders (exact settings on page 1), BUT I find more enjoyment using classic pitch and directional hitting.
Has anyone used this exact slider set/settings, but with classic and directional instead?
Will it work, meaning will my %'s be in line with what Mike outlines in the opening post?
Thanks,

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '18 Sliders
Hey Mike, your franchise videos converted me to using your sliders. Thanks for putting this out there.
Quick question on the 30 team control that you use in your franchise--do you have all the other teams' profiles set to auto everything except for lineups/rotations? (so that you can make sure no pitcher is in a long relief role) How do you deal with the constant notifications that one of the thirty other teams has a lineup or rotation needs fixing after each day you sim? Or is that just a nuisance I have to deal with in order to get the sliders (and stats) to work correctly?
Just trying to make sure I'm setting this up correctly.Comment

I use directional hitting and have been using Mike’s sliders for the last couple years and have seen very good results myself. I don’t think the type of pitching or hitting style you use will affect the results.

I made the switch to classic pitching this year and it has played great with these sliders. I still play with zone hitting but of the ones that have posted in the forum and are playing with different interfaces, it sounds like the sliders work well no matter what pitching/batting options you roll with.Comment

Everything auto, even lineups, then just manually check before each game.Hey Mike, your franchise videos converted me to using your sliders. Thanks for putting this out there.

With the most recent update, I'm trying to decide whether lowering CPU Solid Hits was the right move, or if we lower CPU contact instead 1 pt instead.

Only thing I did differently was higher fielder speed and reaction one it seemed like I was getting too many guys walking

Going to stream in a few mins here to discuss some thoughts on all of this. I'm also starting my 2018 franchise over, breaking my own rule!
A lot of the questions here I'll try and address, so come on by to ask whatever you'd like.

V1.45 updated to first post. Only one change from 1.4, so I left the change notes (in parentheses) for both updates.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '18 Sliders
I let the cpu call pitches but will call somethjng off if he’s consistently calling for a pitch I have low confidence in, or one that just doesn’t seem to make sense. I have all the visual cues off so my location is usually what I want to throw.
The biggest tip is to make sure not everything is in the zone. Get control of the match up and get the guy to chase or make contact with something he has the least effectiveness with.
If you’re up 0-2, 1-2, etc, you have a pitch or two to play with before you really have to contest the guy.
Prior to each matchup, have an idea of what you’re trying to do with them. If I have a lefty/lefty matchup, I know low outside is what I’m typically going for. I might drill something inside high for a ball just to bring him back outside the zone with a slider.
