With the most recent update, I'm trying to decide whether lowering CPU Solid Hits was the right move, or if we lower CPU contact instead 1 pt instead.

I’m having the same thought. With 1.3 sliders and 1.8 patch like you I was getting singled to death. I like the amount of XBH they were getting but the CPU was getting way too many singles especially during those weird innings. Really throws off the hits to runs ratio and the pitchers WHIP of course.

Haven’t tried the lower solid hits yet.

What you guys seeing?

I'm happy with the original plan. v1.45 is playing well.

I tried one game on classic and got demolished. If others are having success then it must be possible...There should be the least difference user to user on classic pitching since there's no skill aspect aspect.

Did you just tap X/A every time and just let it ride? I was doing that when I first started on classic and I was getting smashed as well. I’ve since found out you can hold down the button to provide more or less power and control of the pitches. Fastballs I just hold it until you feel it vibrate, secondary pitches I try to go half way. Give that a try if you weren’t already and see if it helps.

do you set up all the cpu controlled team bullpens like this....

1 closer
2 set up
4 middle relief
0 long relief

OR

1 closer
2 set up
3 middle relief
1 long relief

I've heard leaving the long relief spot opens helps with cpu using their bullpen more effectively.

I use directional hitting and have been using Mike’s sliders for the last couple years and have seen very good results myself. I don’t think the type of pitching or hitting style you use will affect the results.

But I'm guessing the hitting difficulty level will affect the results tho, correct? Reason being I want to use Mike's sliders but I dont think I'm a good enough hitter for Legend.

I hit on All-Star right now.

Or does Legend vs All-Star not matter?

I don’t think there is an exact answer for that one. You definitely have to find your sweet spot. If you’re honest with yourself I think the results should be just fine over the long haul

After a couple of spring games makes me hesitate to restart my franchise with As or another team (Pirates or Marlins). I was having a lot of HR and it looks fixed and in DD i think it is too many runs generated from HR and not enough ''manufactured'' runs.

Baseball and the Show has to be played in league with all games and all pitches played. Progression is slow but it is really a great experience.

Does anyone have tips for covering the upper third of the zone? Bad enough I am under every single pitch, but I cannot hit in the top third of the zone. Getting dominated Granted, i'm the Pirate, I need to lower my expectations of how well I can do, still I would accept any tips !

Well what I do is if I feel like it’s going up top I just leave my cursor up there I don’t move it wear ever I think it’s going I leave the cursor there

Let them go. I try to lay off pitches up there. But otherwise...

One possible option could be to hold your pci a bit higher before the pitch, to get on top of balls more, and you are already there if its a high pitch. But, it could lead you to swing at even more high pitches you should be laying off, if youre not careful. Im not trying to catch up to those with less than 2 strikes though.

If youre dominated and absolutely cant get your pci to them, you could consider lowering pitch speed a notch to allow you to move your pci to the pitch a bit more successfully. High fastballs shouldnt always be easy to get to. If you are late a lot, or not pulling the ball enough, this might be an indication you could lower pitch speed and still get good results.

By the way, being under a lot of pitches is another indication of being late on swings, as a late swing will drop your Pci lower than where you had it.
