Here's game 2 with the sliders.

      Tyler Anderson:
      56% 1st pitch K, 59% K Ratio

      Robbie Ray:
      50% 1st pitch K, 58% K Ratio

      COL:
      13% Foul/Pitch, 37% Swing/Miss (pitching), .444 BABIP

      ARI:
      06% Foul/Pitch, 81% Swing/Miss (pitching), .280 BABIP

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '18 Sliders

I think that I've a huge problem with contact between me & the CPU.

The difference is that in these situations, the CPU will make contact with the ball & not me. And that's really frustrating, especially with fastballs. If I've a little late or early swing, I'll miss but not the CPU.
I mean : if the ball is somewhere around the middle of the zone, even with a bit early or bit late swing, I should make contact with the ball, no ?

        What do you think ?

I wish I had a video of the times cpu fouls off impossible balls to stay alive but I think there is no way around it with legend pitching and hitting. Personally I’ve accepted it since to me it’s a minor issue compared to the great challenge this set provides.

Im not having issues making contact just a little too much ridiculous contact from the cpu.

I assume you’re using 1.1 with human contact up a notch?

I'm curious to what your contact % is. (Swings - misses)/Swings. Not just for one game though, but over several games. Some games will be low, while others will be higher. If you don't mind taking notes for a few games.

For that matter, also curious what others' contact % is, if y'all care to share. Or miss %. Either one works.

I sometimes feel like the CPU isn't dangerous enough but it could be a lack of sample size. I want to fear hitters like Harper, Trout, and Altuve. To be fair, I haven't used the newest set that Mike tweaked.. V1.1.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '18 Sliders

Mike love your sliders been using them since last year. My only question is if you have any recommendations for the CPU to have better hitting success. I don't use meter pitching as I can't get the timing down. I am using the pure analog approach but even on legend it still seems too easy. Would it help to bump the contact and power or solid hits up? Or try a new pitching interface? Thanks ahead of time.

Results from my most recent game:

                  Marlins (me) @ Phillies
                  7-6 loss in 10 innings
                  Both teams had 11 hits
                  Marlins 2 errors
                  Marlins BABIP .333
                  Phillies BABIP .357
                  Marlins 1 HR, 4 2Bs
                  Phillies 1 HR, 2 2Bs
Marlins hitters 4 BBs, 7 Ks
                  Phillies hitters 7 BBs, 10Ks
                  Marlins 60% strikes, 62% first-pitch strikes
                  Phillies 63% strikes, 64% first-pitch strikes
                  Marlins 14% foul balls
                  Phillies 13% foul balls
Marlins 27% misses or strikeout per total swings
Phillies 34% misses or strikeout per total swings

That's the highest I recall seeing CPU misses. Good to see as they are below the average enough times too.

Pinch hit 3-run home run in the top of the ninth by Matt Adams helped us recover from 3 unearned runs.

Marlins are now 74-72 with 16 games left in the (2017) season. 15 games back of the Nationals in the division, and 4.5 games back of the wildcard.

Hey Mike are you using the analysis screen for your numbers or are you tracking them yourself?

If you are using the analysis when doing swing and miss are you just using the Swung category to get all swings, or is something added to it?

Also do you just use the foul category for foulsnn

Phillies 34% misses or strikeout per total swings

That's the highest I recall seeing CPU misses. Good to see as they are below the average enough times too.

Pinch hit 3-run home run in the top of the ninth by Matt Adams helped us recover from 3 unearned runs.

Marlins are now 74-72 with 16 games left in the (2017) season. 15 games back of the Nationals in the division, and 4.5 games back of the wildcard.
Nice. How many HR's does Stanton have now?

If you are using the analysis when doing swing and miss are you just using the Swung category to get all swings, or is something added to it?

Also do you just use the foul category for foulsnn
I calculate BABIP myself (I really wish they'd add this in-game), but the rest can be derived from the in-game analysis. And yes, to calculate the number of misses plus strikeouts I filter to "swings" at the very bottom, and look at both teams. Just have to add those bottom two %'s for misses and strikeouts. That should hover around 21% per team after you combine the two rows.

52 HRs, 111 RBI's. He leads MLB in HRs, and is tied for 1st in RBIs.

Hey mike I feel like my pitching accuracy is way off if I raised control and consistency would that change anything else
