How many of you guys use power swing when in hitters counts? And what are the best way’s you’ve found to hit home runs?

I rarely use power swing. When I hit a HR its usually because I'm sitting on a hanging breaking ball in a hitters count. For some reason I don't hit FB as well as offspeed.

I'm a young guy with good eyesight, so I at least know that's not the issue for me personally. Definitely noticing that pitches in this year's game are coming in much faster than they used to. Currently at 3 for fastballs and 4 for off-speed pitches and liking my results so far.

I’m joining you at 3/4. Hard to believe as I was at 6/7 last year. Just can’t catch up to fastballs even at 4. I guess we can always increase pitch speed if we find we need more of a challenge. But the pitch speed slider is definitely the only slider I’ll need to adjust

What camera do you use because I was having a hard time with the speed as well and also being able to read the pitch then tried The Show 15 camera and the pitch seems to be appearing slower even at 5.

I use zoom and have done so the past several years. I’ve experimented with other angles but always end back at zoom. I see the ball real well but just can’t catch up to fastballs this year on HOF. Hopefully 3/4 is my sweet spot

I use these sliders but with all-star pitching, and I’ve been seeing too many hits on both sides. Double digit hits for both teams in nearly every game.

I tried using both human and CPU contact at 4 today and played multiple games with it. In a three game series, I lost 9-5, won 1-0, and won 5-3. The games have been intense, and in only a three game series I saw more variety than I have in the whole two weeks of my season. One game with a bunch of runs and hits, one game with one run total (3 by CPU and 6 by me), and one with a 5-3 nail-biter with both teams having 9 hits.

I would highly suggest people trying out moving the contact slider down a notch if you’re seeing too many hits. I already have had both human/cpu solid hits at 4, and I didn’t think moving either to 3 made sense, so moving contact down to 4 seemed like the best move to adding realism to averages.

Hey...appreciate the post. But if you read the OP....I clearly tell you on All-Star to have CPU Solid hits (and human) at 4.

So everyone knows unless otherwise noted all values are for both All-Star and HOF levels. In () I will notate if anything needs changing for All-Star. And also +/- inside the () indicates the changes from the last version of the slider set.

I had my first true offensive outburst last night in game two of my two game mini series vs Boston as I trashed them 10-5. Absolutely was bombing the ball all over the park and it felt great. I have a feeling that game is the turning point for my Yankees as we head into a 4 game set vs the Royals at home.

Are injuries that occur during "warm-ups" AKA in the lineup screen before the game due to "play" or "sim"? Should the slider be set to 9 before that screen or after you are actually in the game?

Here is exactly what I do:

Set injury slider to 6 and sim the games around the league (so they show up on the ticker during my game).

Set slider back to 9 and go into your game.

After your game set slider back to 6 to advance to next day (this is so minor league games sim at injury 6).

Sim days games again at 6

Set back to 9 play your game

Rinse and repeat.

I had a beer league softball game break out in my Reds season last night.
First game of a 3 game series at Oakland and I lost 19-17! It was insane.
The 3 games I played before this game I allowed a total of 4 runs.

Anyway I always check the wind when the first batter comes to the plate and it was blowing straight out at 18 MPH. It was like one of those games at Wrigley when the winds blowing straight out.
I came into the game with a total of 25 hrs in 36 games and I hit 7 HRS! The A's hit 7 also. I was actually up 17-12 going into the 8th and the A's scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 8th. I used every pitcher in my pen except my closer.
it was an absolute blast! Crazy game. My team ERA was 4.1 coming into the game and I had pitched really well the last 10 games.
Every fly ball to the OF seemed to carry for a HR.

Gagnon my advice to you is to turn on the swing/pitch info. It’ll help you learn your pitchers release points. Absolute game changer for me. I’m actually striking guys out and blowing fastballs by them now. Forget the tap or max effort. Learn their release points

I think you might have misunderstood what I meant in that line. I know your post states to put CPU Solid Hits at 4 when on All-Star pitching (I’m also using HoF hitting with Solid Hits at 4). I was saying that because I’ve been seeing so many hits from both sides, I had to make another adjustment. I didn’t think that going even lower on Solid Hits would fix that, so I changed Human/CPU Contact instead.

I tried to carry over a franchise and it stated I had not made it through a calendar year
