I tried HOF in years prior. All Star fits my ability, and have great games at the plate and horrible games as well. Perfect balance for me.

The key either way, is patience at the plate and waiting for mistakes you can drive. I love how working a plan seems to pay off. Too often on HOF I felt as though the game was dictating the outcomes. For me, on All Star, I feel as though my input more directly correlates with the result.

Three games in with the Pitch Edit Rosters. I am lowering the starter stamina to 5 down from 6. All three games trended to perfect stamina based on number of pitches and effort.

I believe 5 will more closely resemble real-life fatigue using OSFM plus pitch edits.

This is the OSFM Roster with MBMav's work on editing the pitchers so that their pitch repertoire, and the speed and break of their pitches, most accurately depicts their real-life pitch movement and velocity.

So, you have a guy like Kershaw, and that ridiculous hook that he has, these edits are a more true and accurate representation of what those pitches actually look like, and how they behave in real life.

They are great to have when you know the roster you are pitching with, and with the delivery motions so good this year, this really adds to the realism of the game. You can totally see what you do when you watch these guys.

Also, it is more fun (and harder) to face a guy with a plus slider (let's say) as there is a marked difference between Chris Sale's slider, and a guy whose slider is his 5th pitch.

These edits add a TON to the game, and I am a huge fan.

This was one of the first things I saw after adopting your 2/2 for fielder speed/reaction. Ball ripped down into the RF corner at Miller Park by Yelich and while it was a close-ish play at 3B, he legged out the triple. Exactly what I'd have thought would happen in that situation. I knew it was going to be close though.

Where it gets really interesting is when your outfielders are playing a batter to pull the ball, and he laces one down the opposite foul line. The combination of Fielder Speed at 2 and the Runner Speed requires either a fast guy, or a leap of faith to try and leg out a triple. Often the outcome is determined not so much on the speed of the runner, but how accurate the throw is from either the outfielder or the cutoff man.

This gamble/ risk reward based more on stats than default blazing speed, is worth the price of admission for me.

Hi mate, a question.
First of all, I can only congratulate you for posting your settings for both gameplay and sliders, because I find it absolutely satisfying and stimulating.
I had a completely different view of the game with these settings and I'm really enjoying them.
My question is the following: the default setting for Human Starter Stamina, probably, could also be set to 6/7 because I noticed, in the test games I'm doing to collect stats, that at 70th pitch the starters are completely out of energy and I must replace them.
I understand that a pitcher at the 70th pitch could start to have problems with tightness and control, but even without energy I find it a bit forced.
What do you think about it ?

So, I have toyed with these settings, and started with stamina on 6, moved it to 5, stayed at 5... but we have some variables to deal with:

I pitch with Classic pitching and use “full” power maybe only 5 pitches a start. If you are a meter pitcher, and go all the way to the red, you’ll be done in 70 pitches. Also, depending on the rating of pitcher and his stamina rating, you’ll see a big difference.

Try the roster by MbMavs and with those pitch edits, my setting at 5 with classic pitching has been just about spot on.

You may see some different results based on roster and your choice of pitch mechanic, so by all means, adjust to your liking and enjoy!!

Played a play now game with the roster and your sliders and had a blast. Lost 7-6 to a 3-run Mike trout walk-off.

Been using it in RTTS as well and I've been hitting a little too well. I think the main problem is that CPU pitchers are in the zone too often. Maybe I'm just on a hot streak though.

Great game this morning, as I now have locked down this slider set to the final numbers, and every game I play, with the full-scale differences between games, I have more and more fun with it.

This was an earlier start before work, and therefore I was able to work counts, be patient at the plate, ambush fastballs, and take advantage of a really poor start by the White Sox pitcher.

I matched up the same exact line up and starters as yesterday's game, where I lost on an Anderson walkoff in the bottom of the 9th.

There would be no such drama this morning, as I torched starter Giolito for six runs in the top of the first, and chased him from the game before he recorded an out in the second inning.

David Price went 8.1 innings, 9K's 2BB and I finally took him out after he gave up a two-run job on his 110th pitch. (I was trying to get him a complete game, as DeRo had mentioned how nice it would be to see a very rare complete game these days)

Workman ended the game for me, an 11-3 shellacking, which saw the RedSox bang out 19 hits to the White Sox 6.

A few more errors than I would like to see on both side, but I will attribute that to the rain and the sloppy conditions.

I have locked in the Starter Stamina at 5. I believe this gives starters on a roll, and with a high-stamina rating, a chance to go deep if they are smart about pitch selections, and can use some DP's to grab a twofer a couple innings a game.

I updated the front page, and we are clear for liftoff. The only changes left to make would be in response to a totally re-rated Roster, as those are in the works, and coming soon.

Great job SDS, by far the best Show to date!!

This year I'm also using the Classic Pitching, after years of Meter.
In fact I use the "full" throwing power in more than 5 pitches.
Maybe I'll try again with the advice you gave me.
In any case it is really nice to play with these settings, because it gives you a very satisfying feeling of play

I had turned the Outfielder Arm Strength up to 6 for a while, but moved it back to 5 for more realistic results with the re-rated rosters that are out.

No changes to speak of, and man, are these re-rated Rosters a thing of beauty.

Kudos and virtual high-fives to the guys that have worked so hard on the pitch edits and wholesale edits for each player. I am really liking the results, and within each game, I see such dynamically different outcomes...

So, no changes, my 2+2 for Fielder Speed and Reaction has made defense my favorite part of the game, and really requires good coaching, pregame metrics, and a steady hand on the sticks.

Easily the best offering from SDS to date. And it isn’t even close.
