I disagree. These threads are for the slider creators to SHARE their work with the community and to allow for people to discuss them and their experiences. We are not people's customer service. In my opinion, there is also an expectation (i.e. common courtesy) that people read, follow, and understand the premise behind the slider thread fully before engaging. That's a perfect segue into this....

Again....from the FAQ on the OP (refer specifically to the line I am bolding but it all applies)....



You've done this....and you identified that the change in camera is when it "got easy". Or...how about this....maybe you're swinging at the first pitch you see in the zone instead of working counts....working counts leads to Ks. But IF you are swinging, and making a bunch of outs with weak contact...it isn't a slider issue, it isn't a camera issue...it's a "you need to git gud" issue. This may or may not be the case, I have no idea....but 90% of the time when people cry about not striking out enough, this is the issue.

The obvious solution (assuming you have a good approach at the plate - I consider that to be a minimum of 9-12 pitches in a 1-2-3 inning) is to change the camera. Now, if you don't want to change the camera. Then I direct you, AGAIN, to the opening post.....



So, based on what is laid-out in the OP, I suggest the following:
1. Get more sample size.
2. Examine your own tendencies and be honest with yourself (believe me, I know this can be tough at times - I can help here, but I'd need to see you playing live or a full game video).
3. Based on the tendencies, adapt your play style. If no tendencies were found,
4. You can try changing your camera. If that doesn't work,
5. Lower the user timing slider to 4. If that doesn't work,
6. Increase difficulty to HOF with the OP. If that doesn't work,
7. Lower the user timing slider to 4. If that doesn't work,
8. Increase difficulty to Legend with the OP. If that doesn't work,
9. Lower the user timing slider to 4. If that doesn't work,....well, I have no idea.

I've read the OP and thoroughly thru the thread. I've actually played the game a ton overall. I ask questions looking for a simple answer from you or anyone who feels like responding. You don't have to answer but I appreciate when you have. I understand the large sample size. It's just tough for me (especially when I was really struggling) to set out on a 40 plus game or whatever test run because if you're struggling like I was and are already on your 3rd restart that can be your season in the game. I'm also a single father of 3 young children so that plays in. I honestly wasn't expecting the negative response so I was little surprised. Again I apologise if I've frustrated you. I thought maybe you'd suggest upping pitch speed if retro camera seems too easy. The ball looks much slower to me with that camera.

What everyone is saying is true. Once I turned it off my hitting improved substantially. It severely penalizes you for guessing wrong resulting in weak contact. It seems to affect your hitting even if it's on and you don't use it.

I’m actually really curious about your overall hitting stats bc that’s my exact hitting set. Kinda hoping I die down soon. I’m hitting atleast 3 HRs a game it seems.

As the White Sox, I’m 49-35 (I know that could be a little absurd considering what team we’re talking about, but I also want to play my favorite team and not lose most games). My MLB rankings:

AVG: 11th
AB: T-9th
Runs: 18th
Hits: 11th
Doubles: 4th
Triples: T-16th
HRs: T-18th
RBI: 18th
SB: T-8th
BB: 30th (I will never be able to do better than this...)
SO: 4th
SLG: 13th
OBP: 25th
TB: 14th
PA: 29th
GIDP: 29th

I don’t lead in any specific category, which is really awesome to see. Walks will always be an issue, but not really too worried about that. GIDP is a little ridiculous and many have talked about that in other threads. Much of that has to do with swinging at low pitches with a runner on first, but I swear I’m sometimes just destined to hit into a double play.

I'm really enjoying these sliders Josh!

I tried and tried with Armor's, and although I liked a lot about them (and still play with his clean screen approach etc.), these sliders feel just a bit more 'right' to me. I'm getting more variance in hits and finding my results to be more realistic in general.

This game is just so much fun. This is only my second time owning an MLB game since 2006 (as I only got a PS4 a few years ago), and I love how engrossing it is and how I'm building all these little stories in my head as the season goes on.

Its been a busy week with family, but finally got some time to get a game or 2 in today. About to stream Braves franchise (opening week Game 2) with this set in about 10 15 min.

On a side note, not that Im close to it, but I will be implementing 0 trades (slider to 0) for Aug, Sept, and Oct since now the MLB new no trade rule after the deadline.

Same here as well. I tried Armors couldn't hit at all. Had like 4-5 hits a game, mostly all singles. Switched to JC's sliders and now I'm getting 8-15 hits a game. Only problem I have is the lack of Home Runs, but I'm sure I can adjust and fix that problem. Doesn't help that I'm using the Jays either

Exactly what I was getting. Singles galore very few extra base hits. I play as the Rays and I get a good amount of home runs. Changing to the retro camera upped my home runs substantially.

Ok, so last game was accidently played on HOF (forgot to change to All Star). Still a good game with these sliders even though it was a single game. Fixed it though so that doesnt happen again lol. It was a fun back and forth game though. Goint to stream series final in about 5 min. Just need a little break.

Haha yeah , really need to take a lil break . I got my Blue Jays Franchise going with a tough 2-4 loss to the tigers in my season opener . Game Played great and can't wait to jump back on tmr . Thanks for making these

25 game sample size so far, I much more prefer 5/5 contact to 6/6. At 5 I was consistently getting such a great variety of games. From low scoring 2-0 games to 10-6 games. At 6, almost every game has gone over 10 total runs. Hits are way off the chart and batters are getting hits on pitches that should not be always be hits.

Everything else is playing very well. Again, this is for my play style and difficulty.
