Ha ha! I’m 57 and am as competitive as you are. I play on HOF and use Armour’s sliders (but pitch speed at 8/7. Sometimes I think I should lower pitch speed or even move back to AllStar but my foolish pride won’t allow it!

Currently going into the top of the 9th in my Reds franchise with a 2-1 lead. I’ve given up 3 hits so far and have only managed 4 hits myself. But at least I feel that I earn my wins with the settings I have. Wish me luck!’

Not sure if you guys have read the 21 news, but looks like there is no more year to year carryover for 21.

So on 1 end it sounds like they will be totally revamping Franchise which is probably why, but it obviously will suck for those that wish to carryover Franchises from 20 or previous years.

So on 1 end it sounds like they will be totally revamping Franchise which is probably why, but it obviously will suck for those that wish to carryover Franchises from 20 or previous years.

I am out for MLB 21. That news just made that decision easy for me.

Folks....I am fully invested in my Carryover franchise’s (Still have my Cardinals Fantasy Draft Chise from MLB 16 that I love as well I just don’t advertise it here).

I am currently playing Year 5 of our amazing Yankees Franchise.

Even if they are revamping franchise mode.....why do I have this feeling they are dumbing it down even more? Call me skeptical. I am just seeing how sports games are changing and the changs have been not great.

We all know how it goes. They are going cross platform. They want to make the game even more accessible. They announced the old three skill modes like Madden. Another ominous sign for me.

The core of this game through MLB 20 has been a simulation core. Now they are undoing that and making three different modes like Madden has (ask me how that has worked out for Madden).

Hey it is what it is. I had zero plans of going to next gen this year or even next. So this is no big deal for me.
If the franchise updates are that dramatic and “gotta have it” I can wait till next gen whenever that comes.

I have dozens of incredible classic rosters for MLB 20. That we have been able to carry forward.

I knew the day was coming when carryover saves would have to be taken away to revamp franchise.

The real question is what is this new franchise mode going to look like? It is a huge wait and see for me.

Who knows? Maybe it will be awesome! Let’s hope. But I am really concerned we lost that simulation, smaller studio feel with The Show. Cross Platform, Diamond Dynasty....it has taken over the simulation aspect.

I can see me getting a PS5 eventually and continuing my carryover franchise on that sometime this summer though. I'm still on the PS4.

Hopefully it's just the change from 20 to 21(New coding) is why year to year saves won't work, and it can start again from 21 to 22 and on, etc.

Sort of makes sense if their focus is on nex gen, start fresh.

I can see myself holding off on 21 until it's later in the season, bugs worked out, price drop. 20 plays so well on PS5, no need to jump right away.

I am not as optimistic they will flip a magical switch to resume Y2Y saves with MLB 22. Wish it was that easy. It may be years “if” it ever returns.

I think Y2Y saves will return in 22...BUT, they will be only for saves from 21.

I think any saves prior to 21 will remain to be 'stuck' in MLBTS 20.

IF it comes with sweeping improvements to franchise, then I'm ok with it.

As emotional as it will be to finally put down my carry over from 2014, I can understand how the Y2Y system needs a fresh reboot.

If this is just flat dropping year to year though, especially without any significant franchise improvements, then 20 may have been the last show I purchase for a long, long time.

I gotta say though, it'll be sad to play without the likes of Lozano, McMullen, Mauzoul, Montano, or Bloom. I spent literal years developing these players into superstars.

I might try to make a custom fictional roster when I start again. No offense against bacon, I just feel that creating it myself will help me feel attached to my new team. If I'm being realistic I doubt I can commit the time, but I've already started writing down some ideas for players and teams just to get a general idea of what I might do.

Are we sure there is no carry over from 20 to 21 if we stay on ps4. I’m ok either way and I will just stick with 20 on the ps4 until I get Ps5 and than I will just start over. I sure hope we will still have carryovers on ps5 from 21 to 22 and beyond.
