Ok folks version 1.5 is official.



We are now moving on to the next phase of testing.



Power.



This is the only other part of the game I want to lab. Yes I notice the power surge....to a degree. So I am not going to overreact. I am going to test simply one slider. The power slider.



We are now going to test power at 4.



Simple right? If you want to follow at home you can try it a well and let’s see what consensus we get.



In the meantime......wow what a game we got this year folks!!!!

Armor, I was wondering why don't you create sliders to try and match real life mlb stats? Is it because you don't believe it is possible or just too much work?

You will never be able to match MLB stats. Close for the most part sure as long as you dont have a "I want every stat to be +/- 5 of real life" This is a video game after all and you have human intangibles that a video game will never be able to duplicate at this point. As Armor plays, its about clean screen, feel, gameplay, your world inside the game. You will constantly game to game have to keep adjust sliders. Sliders are best set and forget in my opinion.

I’m not seeing the huge power numbers like the rest of you guys but I still think power at 4 can’t hurt. Maybe it’ll mean more doubles. So far the game is playing really well. Like every year I struggle out the gate with hitting. It’s mainly my own fault because I’m impatient and lack concentration lol.

The only other slider I’m thinking about is cpu strike Frequency. Seems like the really pound the zone and always go for the strike on the first pitch.

My apologies for anything said that was mistaken or hurtful, and I genuinely mean that. I just don't like when it's painted with a broad brush that people with dissenting views are basically labeled as "those other guys who don't get it" because it infers there are those who do and those on the other side who don't. I've been here a long time - that doesn't make me special, but I've been contributing to this place for many, many years and have poured my heart and life into rosters and sliders. But nevertheless, that's not my point. In the slider set I'm creating I'm actually doing the exact opposite of what a lot of other slider creators are doing. I also get there are those here who just complain and demand. So again, I'll drop this and apologize and move along. Thanks.

I keep seeing people say # of HRs. There really isn't a problem with the # of HRs being hit.

The problem I've been seeing is lying in the ration of runs scored via HR as opposed to other ways. On the User side my #'s show to be within a nice realm of realism/believability.

The issue has been with the CPU scoring close to 60% via HR. Again not the amount of HRs they are hitting, but more the fact they are not scoring in other ways as often as they should.

Awesome! Based on how my rebuild goes with the Marlins, I very well may rebrand them and move them to Las Vegas. Team name and Park TBD but I have a feeling we will relocate!!! Oh wait.....N.L. East in Vegas? That would be weird.

Well we wil have to think it through and again...this is a down the road rebrand/relocate. We are committed to trying to make it work in Miami for at least YR1 and maybe YR2.

It will be a highly challenging franchise. A stark contrast from my Year 4 Yankees squad who are built for multiple titles.

Well I didn't say they didn't. Just that it's via HR, around 10-15% more than it should be. This isn't a stat that really can be tracked by feel.

Memory is misleading, without actually tracking the stats you won't really know.

Played my first franchise game with power at 4 using set 1.5. Two home runs via DJ LeMahieu. 7 innings, 14 Ks for Gerrit Cole in his pinstripe debut.

The move of fielder reaction and speed to 4 makes a little more sense to me if power is moved to 4 as well. Hopefully it will give a few more hits here and there that the outfielder’s could have reached on 5 without the ball going over the fence if power was on 5.

Makes sense, might’ve been a dumb question haha. They still have a painful roster to play every game with even if it is not quite as terrible as last year’s. Enjoying the sliders as usual, thank you for your work creating a slider set each year. Starting my franchise today, think I’ll give power at 4 a shot from game 1.

What changed in 1.5? I don’t see anything different than what I’m using now and that is CPU Foul at 4 and pitch speed at 7/6.
