Yes. Set it to progress and you'll see it every AB. If you want it to go faster, turn the dynamic up a little.Follow me on Twitch

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
Ok thanks I will. I left it on with last year’s game and the big thing I’d notice is I’d all the sudden have a game or two where the pitches looked way faster. I just played such a game a little bit ago.Comment

Hey Josh, love your perspective on how the game should be as close to default as it can be. I've been playing MLB The Show games since 06. I have a few thoughts I'd like to share based on my experience in Franchise games so far.
For context, I'm using your sliders alongside Funkycorm's potential edit rosters.
I'm using the Nationals as my franchise team. So far I've played about 20-30 games (all against divisional opponents). The games have been good so far. Swept MIA, battled with Braves, kind of dominated the Mets to be honest, and about even with PHI. Player ratings are looking great except for two areas.
1) Starting pitchers stamina. I expect a young arm like Sterling Sharp to maybe only go 5 innings in most starts and the occasional 6 or 7 inning outing. But Scherzer and Strasburg can barely get to 60 pitches before it notifies me that they are tiring. I'm not sure if anyone else is having similar experiences, but wanted to share as I vary my pitches and pitch intensity. Even on quick outings where I'm using 9-16 pitches per inning, they are getting gassed by the 5th.
2) Stealing. I have Trea Turner, who has 98 speed and great BR Aggressiveness. However, it seems in this year's game, runners are very sluggish to start their takeoff. I've seen turner thrown out by a mile on a slow-breaking ball, and when I look at the replay, his first few steps look as though he's running in water, and then he finally takes off.
So I've combated this by manually controlling the steal by holding L2, and that seems to help, but still noticing the sluggish takeoffs. It may just need to be patched, but again, just want to share my experiences so far.
All in all, the games have been awesome. Soto is a dangerous threat, and can hit the ball all over the yard, while a guy like Schwarber has been slumping and occasionally running into that deep ball, which has lead me to move him more to a platoon role and utilize other guys in the lineup, like Hernan Perez.Comment

Here's the question. Does the pop-up correspond to the actual stamina (go into your substitution screen and you can see the meter)? They just added the little notification thing (which is silly IMO), it's possible it is triggering too early.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
I've NEVER seen this issue with high stamina-rated pitchers. I've taken 70-ish stamina pitchers to 90+ pitches with no issue (i.e. before the stamina bar gets to below 10%-ish).

I just wanted to see if anyone else was having similar experiences. The games are playing great, and I'm having a lot of fun with this team.
What about stealing? Are you seeing any guys being sluggish off the jump or is that playing normal for you?Comment

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
That very well could be the case. I figured if anything the game probably had a bug. With guys like Max and Stras, I just keep them in there, and by pitch 80 it tells me they are out of energy. The back end of my rotation, well, I have a LRP for the games they start. LOL

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
Idk, again, I don't steal much, to begin with, so I probably just need to give it more time and keep an eye on it to see if it's frequent, or starts to get better.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm happy I seem to be in the minority on these experiences because the game has played great for me other than these two concerns.Comment

Could also be a case of using max effort on every single pitch.

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
Yeah, I'm not much of a stealing guy, to begin with, but a guy like Trea Turner is my prime example so far. Every jump has been sluggish, even when he is successful. I probably have about 10 attempts with him and only 3 stolen bases, a few bang-bang outs, and the majority is him being out by a mile (two pitchouts, the rest were normal stride pitches, even on a curveball).

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
Question. I try to find the max effort with each pitchers then release right before and it works well for me, but with some pitchers it seems I never feel a vibration. Anyone else get that?Comment
