Yep. I’ve noticed that too. Sometimes the vibration disappears one inning then comes back the next.

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
That very well could be the case. I figured if anything the game probably had a bug. With guys like Max and Stras, I just keep them in there, and by pitch 80 it tells me they are out of energy. The back end of my rotation, well, I have a LRP for the games they start. LOL
I just wanted to see if anyone else was having similar experiences. The games are playing great, and I'm having a lot of fun with this team.
What about stealing? Are you seeing any guys being sluggish off the jump or is that playing normal for you?
My suggestion is to turn vibration back on for a full turn through the rotation and see how it goes. When you get the rumble, you've maxed-out your arm velocity. It can become easy to try to time the release with the pitcher's delivery cadence; but that's not how it works for classic.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

I’ve tried a few slider sets thus far but always found pitching too easy. I’ve went with your sliders, with the only exception being I play HOF for both hitting and pitching instead of AS+. Finally found the spot where the game feels perfect to me and with minimal slider changes! Thanks very much!

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
I'm currently playing a Yankees franchise on Legend hitting and Pitching and I feel like my numbers are pretty accurate to player rankings.
Here are some highlights after a month of play (I play every game):
Stanton recently got hot and is now batting .225 with 9 HR and 24 RBI
Judge is batting just over .300 with 7 HR 19 RBI
LeMahieu is batting .345 with 4 HR and 16 RBI
Clint Frazier struggling with .214 but 7 HR 12 RBI
Gary Sanchez is .222 with 5 HR
Urshela is batting .256 with 2HR 4RBI
Mike Ford .180 with 2 HR and 2 RBI
In all my previous years of playing MLB the show I've used All Star Batting and my team would all be batting .300+ usually... this year taking pitches and working walks and waiting for mistake pitches up in the zone on Legend difficulty, I'm seeing almost true to life stats that are reflective of what I see in real life.
The key to Legend batting is patience. I work the count and wait for my pitch and walk 4-9 times a game. Unfortunately, this style of play takes time. I think it takes me just over 1 hour to play a full 9 innings.Comment

Not at all! If you have pitchers with good K/9 ratings, you get the right numbers of swing/misses.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

The thing about them is they are dependent on your tolerance for the situation. After how many fouls does the guy deserve the base? 20?
At some point you’re making the conscious decision that not walking this guy is worth 15 pitches, and that’s on you. Ya know?Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

If you're dealing with an annoying contact hitter with the bases empty, don't try to strike him out by nibbling like a pansy; throw him a freakin' strike and let him hit it. Pitch around only those guys that you should. But otherwise, you HAVE to trust your guys. Sure, you will face lineups that are scary and you have to be careful...but sometimes giving up a hit on one pitch is worth the expense relative to getting a guy out on 10 pitches.

I was playing the Cardinals and played the 2nd series in Miami. Boy, that park is ended up looking really nice. I like the big Auto Trader Alley. They have a nice big scoreboard to look at as well. I like seeing the scoreboard and some stats as well while I bat. I’m tempted to start a franchise with the Marlins as well.Follow me on Twitch

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
This is often tied right into the other common complaint..."My starters only go 4 innings". At some point, you HAVE to trust your pitchers, attack the darn zone and if you give up a tater, you give up a tater. If you're burning through 80 pitches in 4 innings because you're 'pitching scared', you reap what you sow. If you throw more than 15 pitches in an inning, you had a crap inning (and it WILL impact how stamina trends).

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
I don't use max on every pitch. Probably on most 3-2 counts, or a two-strike count where I need a punch out. After testing last night, I think it's a matter of the game telling me too early that a pitcher is out of energy, as I noticed I still had about 10% left in the tank when the game said the pitcher was completely out of energy.Comment

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 21 Sliders
If it's telling you you're out of energy at pitch 80, you're max efforting too much.
My suggestion is to turn vibration back on for a full turn through the rotation and see how it goes. When you get the rumble, you've maxed-out your arm velocity. It can become easy to try to time the release with the pitcher's delivery cadence; but that's not how it works for classic.
I appreciate your input and help. Going to test a few games with vibration to get a concrete understanding of the number of max-effort pitches I'm throwing per outing.Comment
