I only play hitting and quick sim the pitching. Are the sliders and pitching difficulty impacting my quick sim pitching?

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders
Love the sliders, guys. I have been testing bullpen usage since the CPU still brings out the LRP first and here's what I've come up with thru about 20 games played and simmed. This way seems to get the most balance out of your CPU bullpen. 30 team control with all bullpens manually set...
LRP1 - Lowest rated RP (STAM < 40)
LRP2 - Next lowest RP (STAM < 40)
LRP3 - Next lowest RP (STAM <40)
MRP 1-4 - all other relievers except your closer
SU 1-2 EMPTY
CP Closer obviously
What I've seen is the CPU will go by rating and/or stamina when deciding who to put in. So if the first LRP is exhausted they will put in one of the other two in any inning prior to the 7th. 7-9 innings they will use the MRPs the same way, unless it's a lefty dominated lineup. The setup guys were only getting used when there was a lead in the 8th, obviously a limited time frame. This should balance out usage for the entire pen, except for the closer who will get all save opportunities. If during the season you see a deliver not getting as many opportunities swap him with a LRP and that should balance it out. Anyways this is what I've found to work best, feel free to give it a try.if it wasn't for the gutter my mind would be homeless...Comment

Oh and how do you slot in those MRP slots? Do you place the highest rated in slot #1 and so forth? I always looked at their clutch rating and slotted them in. You are exactly right on how the cpu uses the SU slots. Annoying. Also if it's tied to begin the 9th they never use the CP either like they would IRL.

I actually wish they would just get rid of the CP position and make it all RP. at.. we can actually do that anyway.
But some of those LR guys are listed as a SP because sometimes they make a spot start. Paddock for example for the Padres. so yes that can change the attributesComment

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
If I wasn't so bad, the numbers would look a lot better haha.
Averaging per game:
7.3 hits
1.25 HRs per game
1.35 2Bs per game
13.7 Ks per game including a solid 18K game against LAD lol.
4.5 BBs per game
3 runs per game
Keep in mind, 60% of the HRs have been from Tatis and 34% of the 2Bs as well.
Great results and am enjoying them. Just gotta stop swinging at balls out of the zone. Rarely are the Ks swings and misses in the zone.Comment

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders
Good point. If the cpu SP is injured in game they'll always insert the LRP guy as far as I know. So if there's a RP with 30 stamina in the top LRP slot will they put him in the game 2nd inning after an injury? Or are they aware enough to put in the guy with 60+ stamina?

I think it is time the CP went and every pitcher just be made into a RP. then the CPU A1 should go by highest attributes, pitch the 9th unless their energy is low then they go to the 2nd highest which would be the SU guys. a lot of teams now are going by closer by committee the days of Mo pitching the 9th are going away they need to get rid of the CP.
thankfully there is no roster limit of even having a CP. so I wonder what the CPU would go to IF we leave the 9th hole empty. and have every single pitcher as a RP??????
I am at work now so can't do a test but that would be a awesome test to see what happens. because no 9th hole or no CP. it would be interesting to see what the CPU would go to. probably just the highest rated player I would say. but it might be a good way for teams like the Rays who have about 4 closers.Comment
