At the beginning, we thought that cpu offense acted differently or weaker using QC. And then we did more testing it seemed to be the same. But in theory, it should help not using QC cause they have potentially more pitches to try to hit in play. Instead of trying just to get one strike instead of 3. But we like the speed of the game.

Yeah, I was seeing that as well. I would keep it at 5 and lower solid hits so it would cut down on the amount of those overpowering hits.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I am convinced the high cpu strikeouts this year are just a game issue, guys. I mean we have tried everything possible to get them to be at a realistic rate. Version 2 is obviously the best we can even possibly do, and you will still occasionally have 12-13Ks in a game vs the cpu.
While always leaving cpu timing at 10 I have tried HOF with contact at 8, and it felt exactly the same as Allstar 8/10 for me. In three games (yes, small sample), I struck out the cpu 12, 12, and last was 13k. I tried Legend for a couple of games with timing at 10 and contact at 7.
SDS, IMO, decided to increase the AI swing and miss rate. Before version 2 I had strike out totals (multiple times for some) of 15, 17, and once I struck out Seattle 19 times. All with very little effort from me.
At least now I've had games between 4-7Ks vs the cpu. One game I finished with only 1k. We wouldn't come close to that before.

Are you now using legend or still all star?Comment

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Yes, we are. Here is a example from my previous games.
Guardians had Civale go 6 IP and left with a tie. They brought in De Los Santos who is in the MRP slot into the 7th inning in a tie game. He gave up 3 runs so they brought in Stephan to get the last out. Put in Plesac who was in the MRP4 spot while losing 6-2. I don't mind since it is a mop-up situation. He gave up a couple of runs and they brought in Morgan to get the last two outs. Karinchak who is in the SU1 actually came in to pitch the 9th in a 9-4 lead. Thinking he might have been the only one that had energy left.
In another game, Quantrill went 5.2 IP and gave up 2 runs in the 6th to give me a 3-1 lead. They brought in Sandlin who was in the LR1 spot. He end up going 2.1 IP. Hentges went 0.1 IP after that and Morgan went 0.2 IP to end the game.
They probably use the LR1 and LR2 guys for 2 IP often but never like 3 or 4 IP if it would have been a 6th starter. If you had the 6th starter in the LR1 spot, they would have came in the 5th inning and finish the game.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I used contact at 7 last year and it worked great alongside timing at 0. I think I will go with what you're saying here, but solid hits at 3 so I'm not hitting nothing but doubles. Power probably up to 6 eventually like I have the cpu for now but we'll see. Takes a lot of games with data to really know.

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Power at 6 I think could work though. I'll play more tmrrw and try something like 6 or 7/6/0/5/4.
