I wish I had that problem. Can't help you there cause cpu has always chased since MLB 10 lol. Are we playing the same game?

I would lower contact and timing then. Last year we used 8/5/5/8 for cpu hitting sliders. Or try Contact at 5.

You must be doing something wrong man because on all star, striking out the cpu isn’t very hard to do

Damn maybe it was just one game but I couldnt K the Nationals to save my life... I went Twins, Nats and only managed 6 Ks in the game... Mahle had 3 Ks in 7 innings, Acala had K in 8th, Duran had 2 Ks in 9th for the save.

Idk just felt like the Nats would make contact with my pitches no matter what... Was a great game otherwise! But that part was frustrating to say the least.

          Amazing sliders like usual tho!

Just keep playing and you'll have games of 10+ Ks. 4-8 range is realistic, so getting 6 is good IMO. We seemed to find a good balance for Ks at this point.

Difficulty level doesn't matter. It's easy on all levels from what I found. Having to raise contact for every level to avoid them tells us that. Plate discipline doesn't change with difficulty level. Only thing that changes is PCI size.

                Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders

I wonder if maybe part of it is the custom roster that Steve and I are using. Here is the thing, we tested and tested and tested sliders and thought we had a good balance. At one point, we were testing contact at 5, power at 6, timing at 5, and solid hits at 4 and we liked the results at the time. I found a roster called Full Minors which had rerates and had all of the top 30 prospects I believe. I really liked the roster. Well we started our franchise and I could be wrong but that seemed to start the increase in CPU strikeouts. I went and downloaded the latest roster last night and played a few games and it felt a little better and I was able to have contact at 8 where we had it last year and would get about 9-10 K's per game. This could be just a theory. No way I am bashing that roster cause I do like it.

For those of you who are not having an issue with the strikeouts, what roster are you using?

I'm using the same roster but with Tatis with stats. Strikeouts seem ok for me.

I think we are comfortable in saying contact can be 9 for the cpu now. They still are a threat offensively and will strike out what seems to be same rate as they were. So try that and it could give you a few more swing and misses.

Don't take my word as gospel though. I switched to a different slider set a for a week and just switched back to yours a couple days ago. So I've really only got 2 games under my belt with your latest update. But I was striking out guys easier with your set then the other set.
