Haven't tried that yet, but it should be okay at 9 too. Timing is less noticeable change than contact so from 10 to 9 you probably won't see any difference.

Honestly there are a number of combinations that would probably be okay. I wouldn't ever suggest lower contact than 9 though. I accidentally had it on legend with contact at 9 for 2 innings last game and I had one K swinging and only two hits allowed. Contact at 8 or lower you're asking for a strikeout every 2-3 ABs over the long haul IMO. Also they are just going to be very weak and easy to hold to less then 6-7 hits most of the time.

I think it is fixed (knock on wood). I haven't had it crashed since the last week's patch and I have played quite a bit. And nobody is mentioning it in the general threads so I imagine it was fixed.

Well, just got done with another game and it didn't go so well...lol. The Cubs came to town and whooped up on the Dodgers to the tune of 9-1.

Syndergaard got roughed up in the 1st giving up 5, and the Dodgers could not make any dent through the game, I only struck out 4 while giving up 11 hits, so needless to say it wasn't a good outing for Syndergaard.

I'm using V-2 with just a couple of adjustments to fielder speed (down 1 to 4) and cpu contact to 9 (from 10). The Cubs finished with 14 hits to my terrible 3 hits with one of those being a HR.

After a few games now with V-2, the trend I'm starting to see is the CPU is able to "place" hits in perfect spots while the HUM side is overall very weak in comparison.

I'm not saying that the HUM should get 10-15 hits a game, but when pretty much every hit is a dribbler or a shallow popup, then I feel there could be a problem.

Just a couple quick notes as well.....

I'm using a roster from the vault titled full minors v2.0 not sure if that makes a difference or not, and lastly (and this is a big one...lol) I don't use classic pitching, I have been a meter guy for years and it's my preferred style of pitching...lol

With the current setup in regards to the HUM side of things, I feel that the sliders are great using meter as I'm still missing my target and nothing is a guarantee.

Thanks for the feedback. And sorry not sorry about the Cubs beating you. LOL

I am going to update the OP with a 2.1 of what we are using now. It might help you out hopefully.

Set up these sliders after a 23 hit/10 HR attack in Spring Training. Four games in with realistic baseball results. Decent amount of hits for both teams, 'normal' strikeout numbers. I like that I'm drawing and issuing a few walks each game (and then promptly leaving the bases loaded, LOL.)

Have had a couple of low scoring, low hit games, one not quite blowout win, and a final game that seemed well in hand until the CPU and I went back and forth trading runs in the late innings.

Yeah I figured you would like that...lmao

I literally couldn't do anything offense wise against them, and with the Dodgers pretty much built for power I was hoping to possibly see some well timed shots to the outfield or hell maybe a few hard shots in the infield resulting in some errors but it was just not meant to be....lol

I am interested to see what the updates are going to be as well, just going to leave this here real quick....so far V-1 has played the best (imo) and I do still have those downloaded so I can always go back to those, but it's the "newness" of updated sliders that gets my curiosity going every time....lol

What's the deal with close plays at 1B this year?
I have seen a ton of them BUT haven't seen the "challenge the call" option ONCE.

What am I missing? Is that now a turn on/turn off option hidden in one of the menus, because I've looked and can't find it.

So wait, you started your own thread about this very thing, but yet feel the need to ask in a slider thread as well?

For the record I just had a challenge call in my game earlier this morning, so YES they are in the game.

I've seen the option pop up twice so far. Both overturned.

I meant cpu hitting sliders, sorry. We noticed not much difference in strikeouts with cpu timing at 10 or 6. So we are basically lowering timing to 6 and raising solid hits to 4.

                            So it will be:

                            CPU
                            Contact: 9
Power: 6 we weren’t seeing enough wall scraper HR.

                            Solid Hits: 4

But if you are happy with the cpu hitting then you do not need to change.

We also lowered fielder speed to 4.

I actually set the options to have umpires call plays as perfect. Since there are no challenges other than first base. That way all plays are correct. I just imagine that it was already challenged lol.

Okay, I think I gotcha...I already put the HUM update in, now I'll throw in the cpu hitting sliders as well, like I mentioned in one of my last posts it just seemed like the CPU had no problems getting that most important hit when it mattered....lol

Hopefully these settings will "tame" it down just a bit, not to much but just enough and mixed in with the adjustments made to the HUM side of things may just be enough.

Oh yea, I had also lowered fielder speed to 4 a few days ago because as I mentioned at 5 it just seemed like fielders were getting to balls they had no business getting to, and not to mention the animations don't look as "jerky"...lol
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.
