I'm digging the retro hit cam this year....used to be a MLB 15 cam guy, but they took that away from me.

I know it's personal preference, but what do y'all like to use for your hit cam?

Do you guys think increasing cpu timing or contact better reduce the absurd strikeouts?

Well we have contact at 9 already which we really like. So raise timing up. But you'll need to reduce cpu solid hits from 4 the higher you raise timing to compensate or they're going to be OP. If you're using pinpoint though idk if I can really help you there. You're gonna need to at minimum use meter, but preferably classic with these.

Man oh man, reading through some comments, and I have come to the conclusion that I suck at pitching....lmao

I have been a meter guy for years and for the life of me cannot get the amount of strikeouts you guys are seeing...not saying that's a bad thing I'm just mentioning that in passing.

I have tried classic in the past, and while a nice change of pace, I just couldn't get comfortable with it, so back to meter I went.

Understandable! Of course we here will highly recommend classic lol. But for real though, I think a lot of people do not use classic cause they want to feel like that have more control on the outcome of their pitches. I get that.

However, once you learn how to pitch using classic you realize you do have a lot more control on pitch outcomes than you might assume. Classic pitching is very much a rhythm and feel type of thing for me. You really have to pay attention to confidence in each pitch more. Once you figure out how it works and how to pitch using classic I am 99% sure you'll never use anything else. At least not vs the cpu.

So after bouncing around a lot of differant slider sets from last years game, I finally settled on yours. I felt (for my ability and style of play), that these gave me the most enjoyable and realistic ecperience. So fast forward a year and Im back.

One thing I will say is that I usually prefer to play without Quick Counts, the only issue i seem to face (last years game) was that i really struggled to draw walks (probably down to the fact im too impatient). Anyway, I took the plunge, and tried Quick Counts this year just like you guys have recommended. I must say, I dont know why I havent tried these sooner, I've had a blast. Only issue is I may now be drawing too many walks lol.

Anyway down to the point, I'm using V2 sliders and through 5 games (Small sample size I know), Im enjoying the experience. these are the numbers im seeing:

                  User/CPU
                  AVG - 0.265/0.279
                  OBP - 0.358/0.337
                  SLG - 0.410/0.415
                  OPS - 0.767/0.752
                  BABIP - 0.342/0.359

A few things that are sticking out to me - My walk rate is around 14% per at bat, CPU striking me out around 29.5% So both a litlte high. Im striking out CPU around 28% per at bar. All other numbers walks(CPU), Doubles, HRs, Sac Flies, HBPs etc are all falling into line so far. Like I said, a small sample size. The walk, and strikeout numbers may fall back into line.

I thought I had replied and updated this but evidently not. Through 10 games and I must say im having a blast with V2.0 sliders. All the CPU numbers (for me) are falling into line. the only exceptions I see are (like i said last time) Strikeouts are still a little high, but its something I can live with. Walks have fallen back into line. One thing Im seeing is that HRs (User) have dropped off, but I seem to be hitting too many doubles, but again this is a small sample size of 10.

                  Numbers through 10:

                  User/CPU
                  AVG - 0.278/0.251
                  OBP - 0.351/0.318
                  SLG - 0.425/0.389
                  OPS - 0.776/0.707
                  BABIP - 0.371/0.324

I may finally start my franchise, Is there any rosters out there you all reccommend to get started with?

                  Cheers!

Played 2 games last night. Offense felt nice. I did bump up pitching difficulty to Hall of Fame for the 2nd game and liked the way it played. I wasn't getting a ton of strikeouts and pitching was a challenge without the CPU hitting the ball all over the place. Small sample size but I might roll with that for a couple games and see what happens.

When you play a game inside a franchise, the boxscores wouldn't show the season batting average and ERA. It would just show the game's stats. So if you went 2 for 4, the batting average next to the player would say .500 instead of his season batting average.

We are using Full Minors V.1 but there is now a Full Minors V2 that is available. It had Tatis in there but I switched it out with the one that Tatis with 3 years of stats in there so he wouldn't be considered a rookie.

There is a new roster dropping tomorrow called Fidelity to Reality roster. Check it out in the Rosters thread. I am going to check it out.

Glad that you are having fun. We did just update to 2.1 and that should get more homeruns. We raised power to 6 for both.

I am also testing solid hits at 3 so we can get more singles. We were getting too many doubles.
