I've always been afraid of hook @ 10 and I play every single game. Do you use that same 10 hook if you play?

No, only for the sim games. I am playing my games at straight default HOF down the board.

Got you. Everyone is playing different with different settings, which makes it hard. The CG game thing is a bummer though since I want a real simulation of 162 games over and over... but it's a video game so I guess I'll just learn to live with it for now.

I'm 20 games in... there have only been 1 or 2 CGs across the league, and that's with the 10 hook for the sim games.

After two heartbreaking losses to begin the series in Detroit we finally woke from out offensive slumber to the tune of 8 runs on 15 hits for a final score of 8-1

Sitting in first place in the AL Central with a record of 11-8 we go back home to face the marlins. I am already anticipating the matchup against Sandy Alcantara which will be in game two of the series. First game is against Cueto.

My team average is around .265. I am around 10th in homeruns and have a team ERA around 3.60.

I will eventually post more in depth stats once I get around the 50 game mark on the season.

Yeah I'm not really stickler for stats being 1000% accurate but I did look at my league leaders after finishing the first month of the season thanks to this thread. I belive the league leader in CG's had 2, and there were a handful of guys with 1. Honestly I can live with that.

After a very defensive series against detroit…both #5 starters went head to head in my first game of the series against Miami. We combined for 21 runs and 24 hits. I lost 13-8. Touki toussaint was ran off after 1 inning.

This game is just fun. Anything can happen. It’s streaky just like real baseball.

I think I see what you mean about CPU sliders affecting user results.. if I was understanding correctly. I was getting super soft contact through about 10 games with CPU Contact on 6. I decided to see what default plays like since I jumped straight to sliders and now I'm getting an appropriate amount of hits and not being shutout every game. I still kept the stuff like baserunner speed and pitching stamina.. but the hitting feels a lot more believable now after another 10. Very weird.


It's like the sliders were compensating for the CPU by shutting me out. Or maybe I just got used to hitting or something at the exact time I switched back to default.

So after the 13-8 slug fest loss, both aces faced eachother on the mound and we took the W this time with a final score of 3-1. Alcantara actually struggled with control and we took advantage of that a few times, along with some clutch hits from Oscar Gonzalez and Will Brennan

The honeymoon phase with this game is over, and I can still say this is the best version of the show I have ever played. I don’t even think about sliders during the game. That for me is extremely rare. I just play the game and try to win. I am completely entrenched in this franchise, hoping to do multiple seasons.

I don't know how you run franchises with your team that you support irl lol. I can't seem to do it and I struggle to make decisions. I guess you guys have a very young team though, so maybe it still feels like there is some good building to do to the roster. I'm loving mine as well, but may switch to the Athletics... I feel bad for them.

Rmiok, who did you send down to bring up Brennan? I am wanting him on mine just to match real life, but Valera has hit really well for me. Hate to demote Straw cause his defense and speed, but he hasn't hit worth a crap for me.
