I just don't know if that makes it worse and affects the CPU behavior in a negative way. Try default and see what it does.

I should have an update later tonight. I’m thinking and hoping 8/8/5/5/5 would work. JCar gave us that suggestion so I’m basing it off that.

I'm curious what your thoughts are. It's been working good for me.

hey guys I posted in the other thread but Im certain the patch yesterday broke the sliders in the game. I swear they are no longer working as they did before yesterday. Are you noticing any differences?

I'm going to pitch only some games there with that contact at 8 for CPU. I tried 10 and I gave up 13 hits and 9k vs Giants. Long term contact at 10 would be frustrating and difficult to get outs without it being a strikeout.

Overall for me, it feels just too much like 2023 again. Super high BABIP for the cpu is not fun to play out games. Hopefully contact at 8 can create that balance, but I'm not optimistic at all. No way I'll ever have full games with 5 or less strikeouts vs the CPU. So many of those pre patch. Very unfortunate what they've done.

FWIW I’m playing with contact on 9, on 23 for the same exact reasons. 10 was either a hit or strikeout while at 9 they still make weak contact for me, especially on good pitches. Here’s my K numbers from last 15 games.

                      7, 6, 10, 3, 7, 8, 8, 8, 10, 7, 10, 4, 7, 10, 9

That’s 7.6/gm. I’m averaging just over 8 for the whole year (42 games).

That is a perfect average. Contact at 8 could do the trick as jecar has been using. Contact at 6 was perfect until now. Instead of those too many fouls be swing and misses now, simply have them put into play as weak grounders, pop ups, etc. More balls in play the more fun the game becomes. A bunch of fouled off pitches isn't the most enjoyable, but it did create that pitcher v batter moments. That was taken away.

Before I remember Soto fouling off pitch after pitch. I just knew I wasn't going to be able to get this guy out. He went 3 for 4 that game. That's okay because not everyone would be that good. It was perfectly balanced. Now it's the same at bat over and over. Different names, extremely similar outcomes each at bat.

I’m wondering if 8/6/7/5/5 would work. I will test that out today. The higher timing should hopefully help a little with the strikeouts and the more timed hits should counter the lower power from 8.

                            TOR 3 10 0 (1BB; 10K) 2B, HR
                            NYY 4 8 1 (0BB 11K) 2B, 2HR

That was a 10 inning game where I pitched with both teams. Using contact at 8 and everything else default. It felt much better. I think at very least contact at 8 will be the sweet spot. Or the best we can do for the game anyway. This was a 10 inning game. I had 7K with Yankees but struck out the side top 10 with Clay Holmes. My initial thought is to put solid hits back to 7 where we have had it. CPU seems to like to single you to death with high contact slider. Solid hits can help get more xbh that initially feels like that would be low. Homeruns are good with power at 5. A mistake pitch and it cost me this game.

It seems like the only way to get the cpu to actually put up numbers is playing on competitive
