Yeah, it is usually the first guy they go to out of the bullpen. What you could do is move those guys around when you play them before the game and then move them back.

I use what you have for V4 for Human and CPU. But I don't use V4 for what you have for "Global" . I have all that stuff at default.

Nice. I have tried for the fun of it to bump everything up on Allstar pitching. But it then feels too arcadey.

I am struggling to keep the rebuilt Angels in contention. Hovering around .500. I get game where my pitching does well (i have a decent pitching staff) and games where they get rocked, and some in between. I'm hitting on HOF and its the same with my hitting, it comes and goes. I don't have a great lineup so, it really shouldn't be that easy to score runs every game, so I'm fine with that realism. So far I think these settings work. I'm hoping thats the case, I mean, it's August.....lol

thank you for the sliders, I plugged them in and using the Pirates. Only thing I see is it seems the CPU is hitting a ton of homers. Seems like if I make the smallest mistake pitching it is going yard.

Thanks for tying these out. If you want to move consistency up to 4 that would help it.

                Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders

Used your sliders for 2023 and they worked very well. So far though I am having a few inconsistencies. I can adjust sliders but I don't fully understand the theory behind what the best changes are and was wondering if anyone has suggestions.

Playing RTTS as 2B and I am playing the entire game, so spectating all other at bats and fielding opportunities. I have no issue with the human sliders those are fine since they only affect me. Through 20 games in AA I have a few stats for Team Rankings that I am noticing are either way too high or way too low:

Batting Average and Home Runs for my team are first in the league by a lot, same with other related stats like slugging and total hits. Similarly my pitching staff has a high amount of home runs and hits allowed. Walks and strikeouts on both sides are drastically low as well, bottom of the league by a large margin. (Stolen base frequency and success, and assists are pretty low but I'm not that concerned with those).

So it looks like hitting is buffed up too much and/or pitching is too weak so far. at-bats also seem to be ending in hits or batted balls instead of walks or strikeouts. Anyone have suggestions for which sliders to tweak first to test?

I haven’t done RTTS in forever. Steve has a RTTS season going so maybe he can chime in.

You can lower user solid hits by 1. For pitching, you can raise consistency by 1. Or you can lower cpu timing to 6 or 5.

I used last years sliders for RTTS and it seemed to translate the same way across game modes. I'll drop solid hits, and raise pitcher consistency. Possibly lower strike frequency to try and get more walks as well. Thanks for the suggestions

                        CPU Solid Hits -1
                        CPU Timing -1
                        Pitcher Consistency +1
                        Strike Frequency -1

Already seeing a difference in how the game is playing 4 innings in. A couple more walks and strikeouts than before which is good, but both offenses getting kind of shut down with only 2 hits combined. I'll keep going with it though for this series and see how it goes since I need a bigger sample size, if I've overcorrected I'll put either timing or consistency back to where it was.

EDIT: I think I ran into these stat inconsistencies because my teammates are batting as CPU vs CPU pitching. I notice that default User hitting vs default CPU pitching seems very balanced, but this slider set boosts CPU hitting and nerfs User pitching to balance it out. But whats actually happening for RTTS is CPU default pitching vs boosted CPU hitting. Might play around with just leaving things as is but dropping CPU hitting back down to default to match User hitting.

Yeah, it’s tough when you mix cpu vs cpu and user vs cpu in the game with RTTS. You could try lowering just solid hits or raising consistency. Maybe not both. I know Armor always said lowering solid hits affects variety. So raising consistency might be the way to go. I know there is a big difference between consistency at 2 and 3. 2 gives them too many hangers they hit for homeruns.

For as much as you play as the user in those games (maybe 3 or 4 AB per game?) you might be better off just putting it on default for the hitting sliders.

I'll play around with it and see, I do know default can lead to the opposite problem of too many strikeouts. Funny enough, last year's sliders worked for me on All-Star, not HOF, and I know those settings do influence the strategy for the CPU so I might test All-Star with near default settings for CPU (+1 Contact only to start), and just reduce the power and timing sliders for my User hitting for an added challenge

Ended up just forgetting about spectating the entire game (fun but so time consuming) and am just using your sliders now and the sim engine between appearances, going well. Hard to change the Mgr hook slider while the sim engine is ripping so I just settled on 5 Stamina and 5 Hook and it seems fine. Only issue I am seeing is stolen bases. A month in we have 3, second lowest is 16 so the difference is drastic. I put frequency to 10 and success to 8 but I don't really see enough even through the in game sim engine. Was an issue a few years ago, 23 seemed fine but maybe 24 is back to this issue again

Help- I use your sliders. 25 games in my season, today I have 6 corbin burned on my team and he's on like 5 other teams. I am furious at the amount of time put in only to have some kind of glitch.2024 is looking like 1st time in 12 years I can't do a season.
Is anyone having this issue? Is there a fix?
How did this happen? Work around? Im.baffled upset amd feel betrayed by SDS.
So much time has gone in.to mirror real mlb for nothing.
                                Can the season be saved?
