Armor-Have you noticed a reduction in CPU offensive potency? When the game first launched I was getting absolutely hammered on legend. Like you, I moved to Hof which felt like last year’s version of legend. Within the past few weeks the cpu offense is not nearly the threat it was imo. I’ve tested by continuing to play my existing franchise to work through what could be a hot streak for my pitching staff, starting a new franchise with original rosters and updated SDS rosters, different teams, etc. and my results are all the same. The CPU offense is just not nearly the threat it was. I know Countryboy and others have said they’ve noticed no difference but curious what your experience has been. I may move back to legend pitching. Thx.

If I’m having a tough time with offense on these sliders, what would you recommend changing first pitch speed, contact, timing?

Id do pitch speed. Seven is much faster than it used to be if you ask me. I had to lower mine to five for the first time in years lol

I also lowered my pitch speed from 7 to 6 and the game feels much better offensively to me.

I continue to struggle with this a bit. At 7, I am usually late on fastballs unless I am really geared up for it, guess right, and the pitch is in the strike zone. But I usually have good timing on sliders and off speed pitches. On 6, I have much better timing on fastballs but an WAY early on off speed pitches.

and when I do have a good offensive game on 6, I feel like I have cheated. But it also depends on the quality of pitchers I am facing.

I played as the Phillies against a poor Nationals pitching staff (ranked in the 70’s and lower) and swept them 10-1, 9-3, and 3-2 with pitch speed at 7. I hit 7 homers and 9 other extra base hits in the series.

then I switch to my Yankees franchise to face the Brewers. Their starters were rated in the 80’s. I win the first game 3-1, thanks to a 3-run homer by Stanton on a grooved change-up, but only managed 3 hits in the game. The second game I lost 2-1 on only 3 hits again. Not striking out much on 7 because I am really aggressive but getting weak contact chasing pitches because I don’t want to strike out. Played 3rd game with pitch speed at 6 and won 9-4. And I felt like I cheated as I got 14 hits, including 3 homers and 5 doubles

so I think I am going to keep my big boy pants on and stay at 7

Definitely would go with what works best for you. I was 40 games into my franchise and was just struggling with timing, The switch to six has helped me. This game is so addicting.

I am officially moving pitch speed down to 6. You are right in that it just feels better. I play as the Yankees and Phillies and should be better offensively than I am. On 6 I can actually get walks and lower my strikeouts.
