Debating on bringing back the most fun I've ever had in a save from years ago (OOTP 8 I think it was.)

Basically I stocked my team with 3 middle-of-the-road starters (think of someone like Marco Estrada.) The rest of the pitching staff is filled with relievers of all quality.

Basically what they do is pitch to leverage situations. There are 4 leverage situations.

No Leverage (Basically either blowout wins/losses)
Low Leverage (up/down by a couple runs, no runners on)
Medium Leverage (tie or 1 run game, no threats)
High Leverage (Close game, RISP)

The starters aim to go 3-5 innings into the games (but can be pulled after one batter.) Normally 50-60 pitches is their max. Long relievers may be starter quality pitchers.

As a matter of fact, this sounds fun. I'm off to do this. Expect dynasty reports in my arena for fun. You have to play every game, since the computer won't be able to manage your rotation otherwise. Plenty of LOOGYs and ROOGYs to go around.

One thing this game does get wrong are the "Average Attendance per Game" for every league but MLB. There are also a few teams with the wrong Team Abbreviation, others are in the wrong division. Might create a Quick-Start for people that need everything correct.

What teams are in the wrong division and have the wrong abbreviation? I haven't seen anything like that. Wrong division would kill a game. Maybe you have something wonky with your game.

Yankees are NYA instead of NYY. Mets are NYN instead of NYM. Minor league teams have various wrong abbreviations. Attendance is way off. League Totals are also completely off. Example: in the 2012 season, the Pioneer League had 21219 AB, 3.877 AB per team per inning. OOTP lists it at 88229, which would mean each team had 16 AB per inning. The MLB totals on the other hand are correct to a T.

I know that, but mlb.com, espn, tv broadcasts, box scores, etc. all refer to the Mets as NYM and the Yankees as NYY. I have never seen them abbreviated as NYN and NYA. Same thing for the Cubs and White Sox. OOTP abbreviates them as CHN and CHA.

I would like to know if the League Totals actually matter for Minor League teams, because if they do, it's going to be completely wrong. Seriously, 16 AB for one team an inning is absolutely ridiculously. Hits, HR, etc. are the same way as well.

I'm thinking of starting up an online league for us OSers, but it's tough because everyone's schedules/settings/etc. are different.

Like me, I prefer 2-8 ratings, 20-80 OVR/POT, scouting accuracy at 100% with no complete coaching staff. I'd gladly join/start a league like that - but that may not be what others here want.

That and I've never run a league before, so I don't know how involved it is and what's a decent pace to run it at.

So I downloaded the game earlier and the first thing I wanted to do was download the 2013 all in one mod. While it is downloading somehow my computer messes up and says there has been an error. I go back and it says that the mod has been installed though. So I start a season but none of the logos are there and the roster is fictional names. This is very frustrating. I've tried importing logos but it isn't working. Could someone please help?

I've never had that happen. Did you check your files to see if the mod was downloaded? I would just re-download the mod and reinstall. Make sure you start a new Major League save after.

It says its downloaded but when I start a new save it is still the generic logos. I try to reinstall but it says I can't since it is already installed.

So I finally got everything together and downloaded the all in one mod. I started an MLB season earlier and let me start by saying that you guys were absolutely right about great this game is! I am playing as the Astros and we are 20-38 heading into June. I will admit, since I am new to this game it has been a little overwhelming but I am starting to get the hang of it. I am still finding new things out and I will continue to play this game for a while because its pretty addicting. There is one thing I am not sure about and that is how to accept or reject trades. I got a message from the padres saying they have offered me a trade, but I want to reject it. It says follows controls at bottom in the message but I didn't see any controls. It's probably an obvious thing I am missing, but could someone tell me how? Thanks in advance.

In the mail when you are viewing that item... towards the bottom right there should be a box that says "Actions" (or something to that effect) that you can click on. You click on it, and the expanding menu will say Accept Trade, Reject Trade or Discuss Trade.

Ok I found it, thanks man.
I saw a lot of you guys changed trading to "hard" to make it realistic so that's what I went with. Its pretty challenging to trade now but the astros don't have many great tradeable pieces so that's realistic. I am trying to get rid of Bud Norris and Carlos Pena mainly due to their contracts and for Pena his age is also a factor. I have been trying to trade for prospects to build on my farm. I didn't make a trade today but I may Sim closer to the trade deadline tomorrow and hope to make a deal.
