Make sure your field camera is set to FOLLOW. Also in home run derby, after hitting the ball press the down arrow on the wii controller. You can actually change the camera while the ball is in flight by pressing any direction but down is the best to see the out of park landings.

Re: MLB Power Pros Gameplay Question Thread
-Two things that are concerning me after more playing
1) CPU striking out way too much on the higer levels (All Star, PowerPro)
2) Very easy to steal a base with a fast runner.Comment

Re: MLB Power Pros Gameplay Question Thread
Hey Guys,
I notice that sometimes when a ball is hit, the wrong fielder is selected. Is there a button that you can press that will select the fielder closest to the ball? thanksComment

Re: MLB Power Pros Gameplay Question Thread
On PS2 it's the L1 button, but I'm not sure how that corresponds to the Wii. Also, you can lock the fielding cursor on one player by pressing R1, so it won't auto switch on you.Comment

Re: MLB Power Pros Gameplay Question Thread
Just a little heads up about the purchases in the shop. The 50,000 point item right below the "use arrange team in season" is useless. You get to play a game while watching the credits roll. You have a batter and you are in a random MLB park, the credits come at you from all directions and you swing the bat and knock baseballs into the names to score points. I scored like 52,000 points and I thought," here it is, the really easy way to score points and unlock everything" you don't get to keep those points and they can be applied to nothing, don't waste your pointsTwitch - bluengold34_osComment

It's great isn't it? I love how you can't go all gung ho diving into walls anymore. Guys will get hurt or knock themselves silly and be stunned with stars circling their head for a few seconds before they finally regain composure.Comment

Re: MLB Power Pros Gameplay Question Thread
Dumb question -- is there any way to increase a lead without just selcting steal?
The book said something about not stealing too early, but no matter when I press up+B, the runner never goes until the pitcher is in the windup. Never had the occasion that the pitcher picks off when I've selected steal, however.
But I miss the leading off aspect of baseball gaming from high heat. It was done really well with manual leads and manual getting back on pickoffs.Comment

Two more observations after extended time with thsi game:
1) CPU still strikes out way too much. CPU hitting on All Star and Power, and alot of the outs I get are strike outs. You can pretty much just groove them too, as long as you switch pitches. Just wish the CPU didn't K so much
2) The spirits aren't very reflective of the game. Webb's face turned happy and bouncing after the dude got lit for 6 runs in two innings.Comment

Two more things to add:
1) CPU doesn;t seem to hit many Hr's. They just nickel and dime their way to runs.
2) CPU tried a suicide squeeze on me!!! The batter missed and the runner was meat at the plate.Comment

Re: MLB Power Pros Gameplay Question Thread
As for HRs, I'm giving up a few. You should probably see about one per game on average, maybe less. HRs were WAY down this year. League averages this year were 161 HR per team in the AL and 169 HR per team in the NL. The two biggest HR park effect parks were CIN and PHI I think.Comment
