Dunno if those are accessible from the main menu, they might be in-game only.

Batting and pitching with the wiimote- how is it? fun or gimmicky? I have seen this question asked but not answered yet. Thanks.

BTW one cool thing I figured out during Home Run Derby: When you hit the ball, press one of the face buttons for a different camera angle. Circle gives a look from the first base line, square from the third base line, X zooms in, and I forget what triangle does.

Got the game yesterday and only got a chance to play one game. I gave the manual a quick look, but did not see anything pertaining to a "manage mode."

Having said that, I thought I read something on one of the threads here that there was a manage mode. Does anyone know for certain?

                  Thanks..

It's called "Quick Game" or something like that for Season Mode. Exhibition games can only be watched (CPU vs CPU).

Finally saw a CPU walk in the 3rd watch mode game I've seen - Meche lost control and couldn't find the plate. Encouraging to know it can happen.

Right now I'm using a combination of Expert Pitching and Allstar batting (for both CPU's), and I'm probably still going to bring the batting up to "powerful", the highest level - too many K's. If that doesn't work.....eh. I didn't go in expecting this to play like the show, so it's not heartbreaking.

On the zoom in view using X on the PS3, I was Using Ryan Howard at AT&T Park. I hit one out into McCovey Cove....What the hell, they show it splash in the water.........how come it takes this game to finally figure out how cool that is. It seems in almost every wishlist for either of the other games, its splattered all over the place " show the ball go into the water" It takes a "kids" game according to the public, to get this down.

I also had no idea that if you do not make an out in home run derby, it lets you keep going. I just hit 25 in a row with Howard at Busch...and I scored 893 points, pretty cool.

So how is batting using the wiimote? I haven't found an answer to this question anywhere.

Yeah, I edited Gonzalez into Bonds, and tested him out before I flew back home for the weekend (which is where I'm out now), and hit 10 straight home runs. I thought I was done and started to get up to turn it off, then I saw where it normally says how many balls you have left say "Present" and I was like WTF as the pitch was coming, so I swung very... poorly. I'll try it again when I can return to the game Monday.

I'm feeling like I should have brought it with me. I already miss it.

That's cool about the splash hit thing, though. I remember that ESPN Major League Baseball at least recognized a ball that went that far, where Miller and Hudler would comment on it being a splash hit (though we wouldn't be able to see it)... and then there was Home Run King where they would merely show a cutscene post-splash (but it was the same one over and over). You're right... it takes this game to get it right, but most reviewers will pass it as something that can't even get players' proportions correctly in the game.

Does anyone else think the flyball/groundball ratio is too skewed towards grounders? Most of the outs by both me and teh CPU are on grounders, not flyballs to the OF.
