You also have to check if it is in stock....if not they won't charge until it ships.

If NOT in stock you can cancel and check www.shopncsx.com and www.japanvideogames.com which are in the US ....or even ebay if you have an account.

Has anyone played the 3DS version of this? is it similar to the PSP version but in 3D? I have the PS3 version but was also thinking of picking up a mobile version.

Re: PYS 2011 released - live streaming video

Thanks for the insight Squeeky and Cyphre.

I'll probably want to turn up the difficulty to get a faster style gameplay??

I think I'll like the cursor hitting. I can't find anything I really like hitting wise in the show. With zone hitting, it's hard to get the PCI to register where you want it after pitch release. It's real inconsistent. It seemed way better last year with classic hitting. Not feeling the analog style either.

I like the atmposphere at Japanese ballparks and I think the game potrays that well from what I've seen.

So guess I just gotta decide if I'm gonna make the purchase. Probably sleep on it for a day or two. Where should I get it from? the shopncsx says restock 4-7 days, don't know what that means. The japanese videogames one doesn't happen. And the play asia maybe might be all out of it then judging from the last post.

Just want to say that if you do decide to order through Play-asia, then do so through the Spirits Translation site so they get the funds to continue translating the game for us!

Normal batting point is when the cursor doesn't move once it shows up in the strike zone, with "real" it moves in relation to the pitch thrown after it appears.

I purchased mine from ncsx but last year i bought my copy off ebay from a korean seller when every online store was soldout, so you may want to consider that option.

PSP version is great, plays exactly the same as PS3. No Stardom or Field Play mode but they added Grand Prix this year. Here's a video, the blue flashing thing can be turned off. It's just an aim assist (its called the CPU pitch cursor.)

One of my favorite baseball games of all time was MLB Power Pros because I felt it was realistic AND the best part you could get in a game around 20 minutes. Just curious. I can get games in the show in around 35-45 minutes depending on what happens in the game. If its around the same time as the show, Im good with it, if it''s quicker or has some cool fast play feature that would be a bonus for me.

I'm a baseball junkie and pretty much give every baseball game a try, so I'm not too hesitate at the price as long as it's good.
You will probably like 'Field Play' mode then. You can easily get a game over in 20 minutes. Here's video, and you can click through all the cut scenes....

Even if you want to play a full game with all players it's faster than The Show.

How is the game speed? I've noticed that the videos it does seem slower than mlb the show, the movements, the ball traveling, things like that. Is it a huge difference playing it?

Just to add to what swaldo said, here are some digest settings that you can set that speeds up the game.
                        DIGEST SETTINGS:

Digest is to shorten your playing time of each game by only jumping in during certain situations and
simming the rest of the game.
                        Left Side: Offense

Skip if the score difference is greater than 5 pts
                        Right Side: Pitching

                        1. Play All

Thanks for the info Swaldo and tvman.

I always play through the game, and won't jump ahead to innings, but that seems like pretty cool features.

I'll probably just turn off the cut scenes, or just x through them.

I do like in the show they have the pticher delay you can set to fast, to speed up in between pitches. I'm guessing pro spirits has something like that or turn off the throw back to the pitcher.

What's your order status? I'm probably going to get the game, but the other two websites don't seem to have it in stock, and will probably go with play asia, but just wanted to say if they had it before I go ahead with it.

In 2010 they actually sped up the game which put some people off. For example a hit to the outfield would finish just like you see on TV. However, in 2010 as soon as the 2nd baseman caught the ball from the outfielder it would cutoff to start the next play. Some feel this was a good thing and some didn't like it. But here's what you should do...

Match settings: set cut scenes & replays to fewest

Main game Settings: turn off catcher throws back to pitcher.

Some Japanese pitchers have long windups, and you can set it to always pitch from the stretch which also speeds things up.

Regarding your order, keep in mind last year everyone ran out of stock and they didn't have copies for months. It looks like all the official dealers have run out of stock and they are on back order. Play-Asia is saying "ships in 1 week." I'd just get an order in somewhere before it's too late. And is Konami even able to re-supply stock this year?
