I like Manage-Only mode as well. I hope you can get more realistic results from the generated counts this season. I remember having something like 15K's and 15BB's in one game last season because of the generated counts. Would like to see more variety.

I do like the way ASB let's you watch. I was pretty intrigued by MVP's manager mode that finishes games in 5 minutes, but I like to see the stadiums/uni's/players etc.

I can agree with that.
Much lower scoring and homers as well as 2 of my starters were in the top 5 for ERA, (using the Twins with Milton, Radke, etc.)
In some ways it was nice not to see home run derbys of games, like so many other games do, but I really hope they adjusted it a bit this year.

I am a mange only guy that enjoys the text based stuff (OOTP, Diamond Mind..), but I really would like to find a game where you can really watch it all play out while at the same time providing a reasonable simulation of MLB.

Last year's version was good, but I had the same problem as many of you had - in one game with the Astros and Pirates in the Dome I won 1-0 in 18 innings and the 2 teams combined for 50 strikeouts and something like 18 walks. I stopped using the generated counts after that and it seemed a little better, althought the trend was a little low scoring.

I am not a big fan of home run derby kind of games and would like to see baseball scaled back a little bit anyway, but an occasional slugfest or a few 7-5 kind of games would be nice.

I have a lot of hope that with the gameplay improvements in ASB this year it will carry over to MO mode.

BTW - did anybody have any trouble with SB's last year - it seemed like every time I tried to steal I got gunned out by 10 feet.

I just stopped trying. I think the problem was that you could not control the length of your lead. If they let you do it this year, that problem may be fixed (or at least not as bad). But the CPU could not steal either so it wouldn't help there....

I really hope they turn up the offense for CPU vs CPU and manage mode games.. They have to be aware of it. Many people have commented on it... We also need more Walks...

I hope this thread stays near the top and more manage mode folks join in..

If nothing else, once the game is out, maybe we can put all are suggestions together and work it out..

Last year I edited pitchers, and OF range and speed hoping, plus many other factors in hope that slowing them down might let a few fly balls get past them.. It worked a little, But if some one could make a global editor that let you change all ratings like DangerZ had for HH... We could make the game do anything. Actually i think I spent far more time editing than playing..

Or if they would add a simple slider that let you increase or decrease offensive production and K vs Walks.. Think of what that small addition would do.. it would be almost a perfect game.
