I don't understand why you care that we care enough to troll on other boards telling people not to care.

And I don't know what's more infuriating - the cross-board fanboy witch hunt, or the butchering of the English language.

Re: Still dunno why MVP is getting all the press.

If we didn't care, then there would only be one or two baseball games out each year because the others would not see enough of a profit to continue making them. We are just concerned at all the hype that game review sites like IGN and Gamestop put on games like MVP. It over shadows the smaller budget titles. Just my opinion as usual. Thank goodness for OS, or I think Acclaim would have given up on ASB a few years ago

Whoa. That just confused the hell outta me!

But anyway, I don't consider myself a "fanboy"of anyone. I just think it's funy how people get upset because one company makes more money than another.

Like I've said before on this website, I bought four baseball games last year (all but MLB). I liked different things about each, except for WSB2K3, which I thought was terrible IMO. ASB had the best simulation last year, no doubt. And they may this year as well, that remains to be seen. EA has made crap games in the past with Triple Play, last years NBA Live, March Madness etc.... the list goes on.

It's just all a matter of personal opion, cub, like the discussion we had with player models. You like what you like, and I like what I like. This year I'm buying two baseball games, MVP happens to be one of them, while the other is still up for debate. (ASB or MLB)

And BTW, I'm not on any kind of witch hunt............

I don't think Acclaim would give up on ASB, they seem to have very dedicated baseball fans working their title, something I usually doubt EA on when it comes to their games(especially FIFA). Acclaim is still a big company in the video game industry, maybe not with sports games, but they are a large company. I know they are not the size of EA, but who else is? It's like comparing McDonald's to Checkers, but I still eat at both places.

Reports claim that Acclaim lost over 70 million dollars last year . Kind of reminds me of 3do. However, I am excited about a few of their other titles. Worms 3d and Legends of Wrestling Showdown .

I may still end up buying MVP for my PS2, but its amazing to see so many PS2 'faithfuls' that are just high on EA sports and no other companies.
