Do you know what kind of on-field improvements have been made for 05? Sounds like you don't know and don't care.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I haven't paid attention as much this year. Every year I read about all their improvements and every year I end up leaving disappointed. So this year I have decided to save myself the disappointment.

Like I said at this point I have no plans to purchase this game, but plans can change, and if they actually put a decent game on the field for once, then I would be more than willing to give it a shot. But I am going to wait and see what people whom I trust have to say about the game first. It's as simple as that. Acclaim has gotten my money for the last several years and I don't think they deserve to get another check from me until they've earned it.

I have not given the same chance to MLB or MVP in the past which is why I am getting them sight unseen this year. Same as I have done for ASB the last several years. It's as simple as that.

The producer and lead artist for ASB have been on the board over the last few weeks saying they've long since finished the game. They're just waiting like the rest of us for it to go through QA and go gold. They haven't been working on the game for weeks now - it's long since been out of their hands, and they don't know why the street date is being pushed back. In fact, he said they're already working on 06.

Not getting the exact truth from someone on the ASB development team would not be a first on these boards.

Well, BK, just check out the first few pages of Steve's "Beta Impressions" sticky thread a few inches up and you'll see his comments about many of your complaints.

I guess it's possible the developers could be lying to us about the game being done (or any number of other things), but maybe I'm just gullible cause I believe the guy.

Well said, BK. Hopefully, you are done having to explain yourself to the fanboys, so this thread can get back on track.

It still cracks me up to see people defend a video game like it's their first-born child. People's opinions differ. Some people will not enjoy ASB at all, and some people will enjoy it for different reasons. That's what makes this type of thread interesting.
