Let me clarify that I do agree with you on cancelling preloads in the infield. I forgot to mention that in my last post. Your Jeter analogy is a point well taken. I was thinking more of the outfield than anything else.

But again, you're commiting to something that should not be permanent. We're always asking for more control, and this would allow it. Your reasoning back is "that's what a cutoff man is for?" Actually a cutoff man is for more than that: they also help the ball get to it's destination faster, as well as helping offline throws.

So you're saying that you should NOT commit to a preloaded throw? SS and 2B-men do it all the time... they're commited to making that throw to second/third/home, and the runner turns back. They can hold the throw and adjust; YOU CAN'T once you're committed. If you don't commit to that pre-loaded throw, you risk not having the ball reach its destination at its fastest possible time. How many times have you seen a SS pump on a throw to third, then get a guy at second? Or how about a throw from RF to Third... if you catch the ball with the relay man and already pre loaded a throw to third and see the runner turn back to second, you're committed to third and can't get the man out at second on the return. If you don't preload, the relay character goes into the "still" animation (MVP this happens as well, while the meter moves) and you lose some time that can make the difference in an out or safe play.

I don't get it, you're arguing that the user should learn to play within the set scheme, when a slight addition to it can make the game that much closer to playing the real thing... Isn't that why you're enjoying this game in the first place?

This is just an outright lie. There are what 3-4 pitch speed options. I think what the people on this site are saying is that this guys review is an in-depth look at the game and all it has to offer. Out of the three reviews I've read this is the most comprehensive by far. I expected more out IGN's review than two pages of "fielder cam sucks" which is basiclly all he said. As for OXM thier sports reviews and reviews in general are getting very poor as of late.
