Were you playing against the Mets? If so, this is an issue that was introduced in a previous roster update and should not occur with the latest roster update. The underlying cause will also be fixed in our next patch.

Latest Patch was just pushed live for XB1 and PS4. Mobile coming in the next 1-3 business days. Here's what we did:

Online Ranked Match properly awards a Win when opponent quits
Fix for injured players never healing
Fix for end of game freeze in Franchise mode
Fix for all star game freeze in Franchise mode
Fix for hang on AI pitcher sub
Fix persistent roster download error message
Roster Management Fixes
Fix Franchise mode simulation hangs
Fix corrupted data that can occur from Custom Rosters
Fix hang that can occur in Online play when an XB1 X is paired with a non-X and someone quits
Fix various loss of controller input issues
Fix various issues with HUD display being out of sync
Many other small fixes

Add ability to skip intro and HR cutscenes
Fielders holding runners on will now move to fill the hole when pitcher starts delivery
Tuned Home Run Derby swing responsiveness to better match standard gameplay
Performance optimizations

I'd love to hear from some of you folks, post-patch. I am on the fence with buying.

MLBM has done a good job of cleaning a lot of the initial issues up and it would have been much more well received if this had been the first release. I’m enjoying it- it’s easy to pick up and play, plus the games take 30 minutes max. It doesn’t come close to the depth of The Show, nor should it try to, as RBI offers up a different experience and I personally was getting tired of playing essentially the same game for 5 years.

I maybe in the minority but I really like this game and have a lot of fun with it. Do I wish it was deeper, sure, but it is a fun game and MLBM appears to be making it better at every corner and the roster updates have been great.

From looking around I have seen on Walmart this comes to the Switch in June 13th. Then Target says July 10th. Best Buy says July 10th. So who knows. None of those are obviously official. I just can’t wait for another sports game on the Switch.

Edit: Guess I should’ve just checked their site directly.

The eShop usually gets updated on Fridays, so not sure if it's even available yet. I'll check when I get home today, though.

Man I'm having trouble picking up the ball when batting in handheld mode. I'm late on everything that I have to swing early that I can't make a decision to swing or not I just have to swing at every pitch. May need to play it on the tv first to get used to the game.

Dang, that's a concern as my eyes aren't the greatest. Too bad you can't change the size of the ball.
