In watching streams it looks like people are struggling with fielding. It looks clunky.

I’m having no issue - that they have the option for the fielding reticle to follow the path, or for it to appear immediately at the final location, or static location - I picked the static fielding location, and it has made a nice difference

I kno there is trading and all in franchise but outside of franchise mode is there a roster management section to trade and move players?

Do you like the game?

I actually do...quite a little bit. It has some issues, and def is arcade, but there is some fun to be had here. I've learned how to hit, and after 3-4 games the ball speed has really slowed down, and the fielding is no issue at all for me.

The color palette is vibrantly awesome, the soundtrack is fun, and truth be known - I own it on both the X and the Pro - because I love baseball that much(and I'm a knucklehead)

For right now...no, only the official HR derby can be played in Wash. Having said that, they are releasing an add-on later this year with, I believe, 3 more stadiums - and hopefully all of them sometime throughout the season. The HR derby add-on will also include HR Derby via the PSVR.

Watched the broadcast and saw a bug. Ball hit back to the pitcher and he never went to get the ball. Just froze. so did all the outfielders. guy had to save the game and restart at save point.

I liked what I saw for the first 5 min then it felt old. I wonder if it's the same w/ playing where the game will get old fast. I had RBI 2 years ago and while I liked it, it got old fast and I really never went back.

I hope they have it one weekend free to play.

Played a couple of online games and a franchise game last night. It is a fun game with decent graphics, just a few annoying glitches I hope can be fixed in a patch:


1. Music between innings too loud and you can't adjust it by changing the "Music" Slider
2. Load times (30 seconds to get into a game and 10 seconds between innings)
3. Sometimes when you bring in a pitcher or pinch hitter during online games, it has a graphical glitch then a lock. I had a good game going online LAA vs STL 6-3 in 7th inning when it locked up.
4. Home run cut scene kind of repetitive.
5. Can only play HR Derby with certain players (3 or 4 of them are Yankees) and in one stadium - Nationals Park.
6. I don't see a way to change my bench players in Franchise. As the Cardinals, I only have 4 hitters on my bench and too many pitchers. I see other reserves but don't see how to move them to my roster. Maybe it's just something I'm doing wrong.
7. I don't see all the legends they advertised anywhere. Again maybe something I overlooked.
8. Would like a slightly lower camera angle as an option, so you can see more of the stadiums which look pretty good for an arcade game and much better than last year.


The game may be worth waiting for it to drop below $30 and for them to fix some things. I do like it better than last year and I can't wait to play it again later.

I don't know if there is an official "Bugs and Glitches" Thread for this game. I checked the official site and did not see anything:

Weird glitch happened in the 9th inning of my first franchise game. I come up to bat and the pitcher just stands there indefinitely never pitching the ball. I even tried reloading the game, they subbed a new pitcher in an he proceeded to do the same thing.

Other than that issue I am seeing the same load times on the Xbox One S:

30 Seconds to start the game
10 Seconds between innings

Additionally I recommend dropping the music down to around 50-75 as it is a bit too loud.

Really having a blast with this game. I hope they patch it and continue to make changes. Can see myself bouncing between this and SMB2 throughout this season.

I'm liking the game but there are a few things I noticed that need to be addressed.

1) I've had a few freezes while playing the Wild Card round in Postseason mode. I had to restart the game twice because of freezes. One of them came after I hit a grand slam to tie the game. The other was in later innings where the cpu changed pitchers and then that pitcher refused to pitch. Saving and then reloading the game did not fix the second one.
2) I've seen this next issue twice. If you field a ball deep in the outfield or while throwing off balance (for example man on first, base hit to right. RF throws to 3rd off balance) if the throw is weak and doesn't make it to the player covering the base the run will score as that player doesn't move to the ball. There is no way to gain control of the fielder, pressing A just changes between outfielders. This is mitigated by hitting the cutoff man if you don't have forward momentum.

The other minor stuff is just some odd visual things on Xbox One X which I think is already being addressed by a patch. I wish the fly ball catch animation was better, it looks ridiculous.

Overall though I like the gameplay, I think the fielding is actually pretty good. One welcome improvement would be preloading the next throw when trying to turn double plays.
