I just played my first game Mets(me) vs Braves. I lost 4 to 3 in the bottom of the 11th. I had a lot of fun! That's why we play, to have fun. They have a little meat in the game. They give you the option to set up 4 lineups, RH w/DH etc. Im not a big time baseball guy. I do have a PS4 and probably will preorder the Show. But I will still play me some RBI. Sometimes I just want to knock a gme out in 20. Truth be told, these games have me becoming a real baseball fan over the past few years. All I can say is, make your own decision. We are all different.

My dad picked it up and loves it. Lost his first game 5-4 in 15 innings.

While Opening Day is just over a week away with all 30 MLB Clubs playing on the same day for the first time in 50 years, we’re excited to tell you that R.B.I. Baseball 18 is here today! We hope you enjoy the huge improvements we’ve made to the game, including our first-ever Franchise Mode. So you are aware, we are working through a few known issues that may impact your playing experience…

1. Boxed Products have been a little slow getting to retail outlets. The game is available for Digital Download on the Xbox Store and PlayStation™ Store.
2. Xbox One X users may encounter some graphical issues including but not limited to “boxes” around certain textures and some menu display issues. These issues are specific to 4K/HDR hardware and we have addressed these in a patch that has been submitted to Microsoft for review. We are working closely with Microsoft to get this patch out as soon as possible.
3. iOS users will have to wait another week. The game will release on iPhone and iPad by Opening Day.
4. The Nintendo Switch and Android versions are scheduled to be released in April. We don’t have firm launch dates to provide today, but will let everyone know as soon as we do.

I decided on the purchase after watching a live streamer on Twitch for about an hour and reading a couple of comments here. Obviously this is not "The Show" but they have made enough improvement to warrant a purchase. I am glad they changed up the development of this game.

Can someone give us an idea of what is in "Franchise Mode"? Is there any trading? A draft? Can you create players? How is the stat-tracking across multiple years? Thanks!

1. There is trading, with multiple levels. strict, unrestricted, loose, and one other -
2. Not sure yet, but the review assets do not mention a draft(So I would guess no).
3. No - not that I have seen(unless I missed it-which I didn't)
4. Not sure how it works over the years, but season stats are pretty well represented)

The franchise is played out over 10 years -

Can you adjust any of the cameras and can you watch replays or are they automatic? Also any comments on the online gameplay, seems pretty good watching on twitch.

Game looks like a lot of fun.

Cameras are static with no options other than default, and replays are automatic(although you can record and cut your own replays) I have yet to try online...just doing a Cubs franchise.

Honestly it's a fun game so far. They definitely made some improvements and hopefully they can continue to fix some of the issues (load times mostly and a few odd animations) but overall it ain't bad.

In watching streams it looks like people are struggling with fielding. It looks clunky.

Also what is the deal with the loading times? Big turn off!
