This game made the rounds last year on the boards to the same reactions. I find it ridiculous that we Americans, the country that created the game of baseball, can't have the best video baseball game. We shouldn't be surprised by what Konami can do, look at what they have done with Winning Eleven soccer. I had no interest in soccer until playing this game. Just think what Konami could do for MLB and earning more fans, but I know they wouldn't have the rights.

Re: Pro Yakyuu spirits 2 vs. MVP 2005
just like 2K Sports it "Looks" halfway decent but I'd never buy it..It looks like Shenmue Baseball..Its a typical Japanese version of a sports game....Japanese developers just can't seem to capture what American gamers want outta their sports titles.Comment

Well Japanese developers are not looking to impress american baseball fans or capture American baseball.
Now I think all of you are going a little overboard and are thinking that japanese baseball videogames are the best. Sure it plays good and all, but american baseball games are just as good. So don't dismiss MVP,MLB 2K5, or MLB 2006. Just showing you all another baseball game.
Here's another Japanese baseball game last year from Namco:
Nechu Professional Baseball 2004
Looks like the MLB 2006 of Japanese baseball game, huh?
