I've always been a roster freak, probably first and foremost. The roster management in MVP is awful. There is none except the team you control. I've had no problem with the gameplay and have always thought the game was fun. That's why I was playing MLB2k5 and even HH2k4. I could keep the rosters current.

That said, I can tell you I haven't enjoyed gameplay as much as I have with MVP PC, and it's the best looking game out there (post-mods, of course). Once I got into the gameplay I was sold.

I am prepared to suck it up with this game, turn off trades, injuries, suspensions and play this game at the start of the season I think the gameplay is so good, UNLESS.....

1. MLB2k6 fixes the gameplay bugs, AND hopefully they didn't take out the ability to manage all rosters, OR........

2. MLBThe Show, comes through, as they have said, and allows for full CPU roster editing so I can make trades, etc.

Never have been a fan boy, but have been a fanboy of roster flexibility.

My point was that you finally tried MVP, even with their roster management shortcomings. Glad to hear/read it.

I think ESPN's roster management (for a league, on a console) is unparalleled. I just never spent much time with rosters (slider fan here, remember ) and can't get into ESPN's gameplay, not since 2k3.

Here's hoping they can work some magic on the 360.

Heck of a lot of posts in this joint. I came back after I finally got my Realplayer to work properly and couldn't help but say that I think that they did good stuff for the "Then" Gen. I personally like the movement and the physics in the game. I am really impressed to the point that I ight even try to scoop up the 360 version figuring they'd drop a bomb like NBA 2K6. On the real, it just looks so much better than 2K5. I can see drastic changes. Maybe I'll get eaten up since I'm not really a baseball nut, but man I'm impressed. There are some slight things they could upgrade in the game, but I'll wait to say my piece when it comes time for the "Power" Gen.......

I need roster control. If MVP had given us the roster and season-length control found in MLB we would have probably went insane w/ joy.
