what actually did they change then in this game? with the same old "double switch issue" & the roster issues, it seems they did nothing at all to change this game..

I don't think its beyond repair. I think the new swing stick will work well, as well as the inside edge and payoff pitching. Maybe they will work on these problems for the WS edition, but ****, i dont want to pay for that...

How can you say that the engine is not beyond repair? If the same near game killing glitches exist year after year it's time to start from scratch. New features are nice, but they don't make much of a difference if the rest of the game doesn't function properly. It remains to be seen if inside edge is all it's cracked up to be. I shouldn't have to buy two games to get one that works. People get on EA for their exclusive licence leading to lazyness and lack of creativity...how does 2k escape the same treatment with their exclusive title?

I asked, and someone confirmed the "CPU always walks the 8th batter with 2 out" glitch was fixed. Still waiting to here about a couple problems in 2K5 with the CPU pitching out.

I think the stamina meter is a little varied for this year. As in before you would consider pulling a guy about 40%, now you can wait until like 10%.

Although an interesting piece of computer AI. In a game I played last night, men on 2nd and 3rd and Garland walked lead-off Randa who was 1-1 with 2 walks and a double, to get to Jack Wilson who was 0-3 with 2k's and a groundout.

on the Xbox version, I am liking it, however I've noticed SEVERAL bugs... on any kind of play where the batter is approaching first base..whether it be a fly out or a ground out actually to first, he dives head first EVERYTIME. Also, about 60% of the time, the runner going to first loses his helmet (maybe its just when you turbo, might have to double check)....I also had hit a homer ,..it clearly sailed over the fence and then magically flew back in and landed in the middle of center field, wouldn't let me pick the ball up until the other guy had crossed the plate for a inside the park homerun...i've seen a few more, but I'll have to play more to see which are anamolies and which are for real.

Turn off the contextual sliding option.I think that is what it is called.Fixed it for me.

Pitcher's fatigue in played franchise games is STILL broken from last year. The same bug! How could they have not fixed this bug that was in 2K5? I started a franchise and I played my first game with Eric Bedard pitching. I purposefully had him pitch the whole game and lost 5-0. He did have fatigue throughout the game. By the ninth inning he was at 0% endurance. I then started another game and went to choose my starting pitcher and Bedard had 100% endurance. I chose Bedard to pitch again and he was at 100% starting the 1st inning. I simulated the rest of the game and started to play the 3rd game and Bedard's endurance was at 38%. So, my conclusion is that pitcher's fatigue in played franchise games is STILL broken. Ridiculous. I hope they are alerted this before the release the 360 version. I was very hyped for this game and can overlook many small problems but this is a game killer for me.

The horrible throwing animations that don't match the play in progress are enough to make me dislike it alone, but you absolutely have to watch every roster move the computer sticks. Players at wrong positions, ridiculous lineups, etc.

And is there any way to turn off the stupidly overpowered morale system in gm/franchise mode?!?

Reading through this has me pretty uneasy concerning the 360 version, I'm really looking forward to it but they better have most of this stuff fixed, for example how do you not have the double switch properly working? That is HUGE for NL games, I'm still picking the game up on the day it releases for the 360 and plan to play it a good amount to try and get a feel for if it seems improved from this version or not but if it still has no double switch and a lot of glitches I'll just take it back to gamestop and get a refund. Double switch not working, honestly how do you overlook something like that.

Has anybody else noticed a lot of passed balls. Please tell me this isn't broke again. I've only played 2 games and have seen 6 passed balls.

I concur. How is he going to return an opened game? I would like to know too. At best he will get the money of a trade in, not full refund.

Two more potential glitches I've noticed...

The 3rd basemen issues from last year seemed to have moved over to the 2nd basemen this year. At first I thought I was having issues because I was playing as the Yanks and Cano is rated poorly in the field. But then I played games as the Mets (yeah Matsui sucks too), the Cubs and the Cardinals. Problems with all three teams.

More importantly, this happend four seperate times to me last night....

When the CPU has a runner trying to score on a base hit to the OF and you press A to throw the ball home: if you press A a fraction of a second before your fielder has the ball you're fielder will dive for some reason even though the R-stick is the dive button. So this happened repeatidly last night and the CPU got four inside-the-park homers in two games.

They probably did this on purpose because the casual fan is going to want to start Randy Johnson every game. I don't think the casual fan knows or cares who Chien-Ming Wang is.
