My freezing problems are gone since the patch install, with the exception of the history highlights not working correctly ( shows stills), so I turned the feature off ; besides my win/loss record, everything is good. I dont think a lot of people claiming the patch doent work are deleting thier old VIP and franchises which obviously is a good idea. I still dont understand why deep in my 40 game franchises they still talk about the zero figures for last year, they have a wealth of stats to talk about. I'm an Astros fan and Yankees fan, and my only dissapointment is facial representations, for the not so famous players.

before the patch came out i could not play offline or online without the game freezing.now,after the patch,online play does not freeze but i still can't get past 3 innings offline without freezing.anyone else have this problem?

i rented the game downloaded patch and rosters no freeze.

dont know if its been posted in here already but if so, my bad....

has anyone seen the bug where when a batter gets walked, the baserunners ( if there are any) get credited with stolen bases?

I don't believe you can, unless 2kSports has plans to send out a new disc to people who don't have Live.

I got the patch and it worked for a good week and now mine is freezing during the stupid intro, so the patch is worthless anyway I think.

My only freeze after the patch 91 games in, was pressing the left shoulder button for my bullpen during the cpu's windup, dumb mistake. I have a question though, before the patch my history/highlights worked fine but now about half the time, anyone else have this happen? sorry if it was posted earlier but i couldnt find the issue (time constraint, 2 kids.)

I just got this game today (from Gamefly) and when I started it up, there was no indication of a patch being downloaded, or a request to download it (360 version).

I played three exhibition games and couldn't get past the 3rd inning without it freezing to a gray screen.

Where's this patch? Did they recall it or something? How do I force a download? (Yes, I'm connected to XBL when booting up, and have tried going to the dashboard first and then starting the game, but still no patch).

Jon, same as you. No indication of a patch DL. I got this game like 3 days ago. Pretty lame I have to detach the HD for it not to freeze. Maybe I'll get a memory card or something so I can save my franchises and stuff if that's the only way I'll be able to play.

What a disaster. It's a fun game and all, but this issue is woeful.

I think that when I first got the game a couple of weeks back, I went into the new downloads section of the game and it was there. I don't remember, but I did download it and have not had a problem.

Patch just popped up for me when I started the game. Same as most other XBL games where it states (paraphrasing) "Download the patch or you can't login to XBL".

Interesting. I'd have to format my HD to see if it still pops up. Sounds like that's not the case anymore.

If it was pulled, I wonder why? I hated it because to be on XBL, I had to download the patch. I didn't have that much freezing prior to the patch either (just a few times). I actually had a freeze after the patch a few days ago. I was up 1-0 in the 9th and went to change my pitcher and it froze. That was a good game too. Heck of a pitching battle.

Yeah, that's the popup that I get in every other game that has an update... it lets you know right as the game is booting up, otherwise you can't do online with it.

No such luck for me so far. No popups, nothing.

I rented the Ping Pong game too, and it had a patch and popped right up the second I first put the game in yesterday. Nothing for MLB 2k6 though, and it's unplayable as of now (I can't get through a game w/o crashing).

What a flaming pile of poo this is.

I went into the new downloads section of the game and it was there. I don't remember, but I did download it and have not had a problem.

After I failed to get the update popup, I went to the XBL section and checked the downloads folder. It had 4 roster updates (3 regular, plus the WBC one) but no patches of any kind.
