Re: Little Things Thread.....
I played at Miller Park and it seemed as if some of the fans were wearing shirts with a green number four on them... anyone that has lived in (or visited) Wisconsin knows you can't go more than 5 minutes without seeing a Favre jersey or shirt
Also, on home game Fridays this season the Brewers will honor the 25th anniversary of its only World Series team (at least were not the Cubs) by wearing the retro jerseys they wore on Sundays last year... however, they have a special patch on one of the sleeves and to my surprise there it is in the game... nothing special, just a great little detail...Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
OK... now that I've played in a couple other parks, I've seen the shirt I thought was a four in other places...
When I played as the Phillies, Jimmy Rollins struck out with two aboard and Jon Miller did a spot on Harry Kalas impersonation... it was something like "Rollins strikes out... to bad Jimmy" in Kalas's deep mono tone...Comment

Brett is world wide, even in the scorer stadiums number 4 is there!Comment

Playing in Houston as the Pirates, with Jason Bay up to bat... I have a nice surround sound system and a second before the pitch from behind me to my left I hear "YOU STINK JASON!" then promptly hit a ball as hard as you can into left field for a single. That was gratifying, but too bad I didn't get it up in the air...Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Background: I don't own next-gen, so I'd been playing 2k5 on my Xbox until last week. Picked up 2k6 a few months ago and didn't play it until this week. And it's strange-- I actually like it.
That said, it's interesting for me to read through this thread, because about 40% of the things mentioned are already in prev-gen 2k6. Indeed, the rest sounds pretty killer, and I'm considering scrounging some serious cash to upgrade.
But it makes me think that too many people were quick to write off 2k6. Granted, it's not amazing or anything, but I do enjoy it enough to play a game per day in Franchise.
Lastly: this has to be the developers' favorite thread. Twenty-plus pages of positive user feedback on tiny details? 2k must feel like proud parents watching kids at an Easter-egg hunt.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
I don't think this has been mentioned but: I like when a player comes to back and it flashes his stats and then right under that it might say "Owns a 8 game hitting streak" or "is in an 0 for 19 slump" and when I gave up a hit to I think John Buck of the Royals the next time up it said he broke his slump last AB.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Small, little thing, but I was down 2-1 in the 8th. Swishers on first and Ellis hits a DP ball to second. Second baseman turns and fires to second as Swisher unsuccessfully tries to break up the turn and the second baseman fires to first for the second out.
After Swisher completes his attempted take out slide, he looks over his shoulder to see the result of the play and as soon as Ellis is punched out he slaps at the ground in dissapointment. Either he was pissed because his slide was unsuccessful or becasue Ellis killed their hope of scoring that inning.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
I had a line drive go right over the pitchers head once and the animation was pretty cool of him ducking out of the way. But today was better when a line drive actually hit Javier Vazquez right in the head and bounced to the first base foul line. I retained control of Vazquez while he was lying on the ground until I remembered to hit the trigger to change to another fielder. Vazquez is out two weeks with a concussion.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
I love when the show the player highlights from previously in the game. I thought they only showed homeruns, but I had Scott Podsednik up at the plate in the 8th inning. He was 0-3 with 2 SO's and that point. They showed two diving catches he had made, and another sweet catch where he reached over the railing in foul territory to get the out. Then Joe started talking about how Scotty P would love to trade a couple of those nice grabs for some hits.Comment
