Re: Little Things Thread.....
My catcher Yadier Molina wearing sunglasses during a day game where the sun was intense.. looked pretty neat seeing them through his mask.
Had a guy catch one and slam into the OF wall and had a concussion.
There are just so many new things I've never seen in a video game before... makes me shrug my shoulders when something goofy happens.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Not sure how legit this is, but on the News tracker at the bottom of my season screen, it said that Pujols went to management and was unhappy about his current situation. If something wasn't worked out, then he'd ask for a trade.
Okay... they Cards had a day off... and mysteriously, Pujols is "hurt" with a pulled groin, and can't play. I'm wondering if this is something to do w/ his contract situation, or if he was actually injured.
Something similar happened to me as well. Travis Hafner was upset at management and he did'nt play in the series I had against him.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Few things I did'nt see mentioned yet.
-How the field deteriorates throughout the game. The infield where the grass is gets a nice little sandy wear and tear and the OF starts showing signs of wear. Also, the pitching mound heading towards home plate gets a little worn as well.
-The cutscene in Wrigley before the game starts. They show pretty accurately how Wrigley Field is a dump in the concessions area. The place looks pretty murky and dark just like real life.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Homeruns bouncing off the foul pouls. The coolest part about one of them was that the camera angle went to the "foul ball" angle so I gave up on it and then "ding!".
Didn't hurt that it was a walkoff in the 11th inning. :wink:Rootin' For:

Re: Little Things Thread.....
As I am getting ready for my next game against the Mets at Shea, a message pops up telling me that Jeff Franceour is unavailable due to flu like symptoms and is listed as day to day. I hope the whole team doesn't catch it...lol!"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Ryan Freel of the Reds rounds third and tries to railroad Molina at home plate. Molina is standing straight up in a defensive position and hits Freel up high. Freel bounces off him like he hit a brick wall and is out. Freel is not a big guy in real life so I could see it happening like that.
Hated this game the first day I had it. Had it in my car to take back to Gamestop for credit, but since I paid $60.00 for it I thought I would give it another try. Glad I did. Ihave played 21 games games and love it. 2 gripes:
1: I wish check swinging was just a tiny bit easier so I could draw a few more walks.
2: I wish that you could see more of the stadium and scoreboards. When you pause the game and look at the scoreboads, the amount of detail is amazing. It shows a detailed layout of the current batters stats. I would have never noticed this unless I replayed a homer and looked at the scoreboard.
Very happy with the game now.Comment

Yea, it seems in order to see alot of the details and player reactions/nuiances, you gotta manually replay alot. Like the bullpen, dugout banter or how the baserunners react to plays and crossing homeplate. How the umps react to the ball and such.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Just popped it up into the shallow grass beyond 2B....had two players converging on the ball, the ump was right near the landing point of the ball so he ducked down and crossed his hands across the back of his head until the ball was caught.Comment

I also feel like the field is squished, although that could be camera related as well. It looks fine when it shows your defensive layout.Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
I'm sure it's been said but at the end of the inning the first baseball will fondle the ball and look at it like they normally do to check for marks to see if its useable.
Also one thing that really bothers me, because of a HUGE Barry Bonds fanatic is that in the MLB records it has Mark McGwire listed as the Homerun leader with 70. I understand they can't use Bonds name but Giants LF #25 with 73 would work!Comment

Re: Little Things Thread.....
Holy crap...just had one of the craziest things happen. I had a game at Shea with Hudson against Martinez. It was a pitcher's duel with the score tied at 2-2 in the 8th. Duaner Sanchez had come in for Martinez in the 8th and was facing Chipper Jones. I hit a shot to right field towards the bullpen...Shawn Green went back to the wall, leaped, caught the ball, but when he hit the wall the ball popped out and continued to fly over the wall into the bullpen for a homerun! Jon Miller's call was like, "Green goes back, he leaps, and he makes the catch...NO, it pops out and it will go as a home run!" Ended up winning 3-2."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment
