-Don't have minor leaguers with same numbers as pro's.

      -Ratings should go by numbers

-fix trade logic, to many dumb trades happen just because the ratings are similiar.

      - Personal catchers, a la Tim Wakefield only has Doug Mirabelli catch for him because he can handle a knuckleball.
18-1 hell of a season regardless

        Re: MLB 2K8 Wishlist

        i got a question.
i havent been able to play in the all-star game yet but do the players wear their team jerseys or the american and national league jerseys?
if they wear their league jerseys, can we have them wear their individual team jerseys please for next year. also when the outfielders are chasing after fly balls especially the ones over their heads, can they atleast make the outfielders turn their heads so it looks like theyre looking for the ball and not just putting their glove up and catching it like sandlot?

I would love if they included a full minor league system the way The Show does and MVP used to. Full rosters down to low class-A. And the ability to play those games. I would really love independent leagues and rookie ball included but I know that's a pipe dream. Also, the ability to build a baseball academy somewhere like Venezuela or Puerto Rico and harvest talent from the time kids are like 15.

Hits that are laced down the line and curve into foul territory. Not every hit goes in a straight line.

More draft info. I want to know if a player went to all 4 years of college or if he's straight out of high school, where he went, what his stats were, statistical trends, etc.

the more i play this game the more i find things that need to be fixed.
get rid of those animations that seem to move in slow motion and be more strict about errors. also how many people here had their no-hit bid blown just because the 2nd baseman tries to make an over the shoulder catch and it bounces off his glove?

Another thing I would like is numerical values instead of the bars. I'm so tired of counting on the bars. Have an MVP 05 style, please. It works well and caps are easy.

end of catch/throw animations needs some major work. The shortstop for instance makes a run to a grouder in the hole cathes it and throws a underhand lob ball 70ft in the air and never even plants his feet...ughh that hapens way to often..my only major gripe with the game other than AAA generated stats...this is a must..I mean how do you call a guy up who has generated 0 minor league stats.

                  Thats it for me!

                    Re: MLB 2K8 Wishlist

Well most have already touched on it but anyway:

Better Franchise AI. I know teams should manage how they want to manage, but this has been a problem the past couple years.

Next, I would prefer a better fielding system. This just hold the button thing doesn't flow. I hate when I want to throw hard but my player throws a soft tosser. Copy MVP '05's fielding mechanics.

Fix baserunning. IMHO, it's cheesy as hell to be jamming the button down the line (although people prefer this for NFL 2k5). Rather just have based on speed but then again, I can understand jamming the button as fast as you can when you have to beat out a double play.

The ability to break up double plays.

(Don't care much about the sliders, they're fine the way they are imho)

Actually these are the major demands from me. The rest you've already heard about 2K, such as enhanced Minor leagues, 60 FPS, etc. 2k7 has a lot of good things but some major annoying things about it as well.

                      *Collision detection
*Mound visit not draining pitcher warming up in bullpen
*Catcher can visit mound to give bullpen extra time.
*Ability to break up Double Plays
*Ability to control all team rosters. (to update real trades)
                      *Ability to choose CPU uniforms.
                      *Minor leagues
                      *Stadium-specific audio
*Crowd noise/atmosphere matching on-field play and game situation.
*Same Umpiring crew rotating spots in 3 and 4 game series.
*Pitcher not doing moonwalk across pitching rubber when after-pitch animation ends.
*Clean up outfielder catch animation where he just snatches the ball.
*Have outfielder actually look up over shoulder when going back on a ball.
*Spread out the player commentary so we dont have to hear the same story about "the...the....the...Pudge Rodriguez award" EVERY game.

More realistic strike zone - umpires don't call pitches at the letters strikes.

More customization with attributes and pitches - include the ability to change the movement of pitches, like MVP 05. You don't have to have Curveball, 12-6 Curveball, and Power Curve as three different pitches, just allow us to adjust the break. Not everyones sliders break at the same angle, and not all changeups are straight. Maybe even add arm slots, to help the batter read the pitches.

                        Clean up the animations.

Better hitting, with more foul balls - The defensive swing is a great idea, but the way it is implemented makes it hard to use. You should be able to step and still make a defensive swing. The way it is now, you have to decide if you will make a defensive swing before the pitch. Maybe pressing the left trigger during the swing process would make the swing defensive. Just a thought.

Better baserunning. I like to control my own runners, but it seems like it isn't responsive enough. Also, if I have Beltran on first base, and Shawn Green on third, Green shouldn't have to increase his lead because Beltran wants to.

Thats all I have for now, I'm sure there is more, but I can't think of it right now.

When there are 2 strikes, a "Batting Approach" pop-up menu appears at the same time the pitcher chooses a pitch type. Two face buttons will be mapped to different approaches to batting with 2 strikes:

Button A: swinging defensively (protect the plate, contact is increased, whereas power is decreased, with batter's eye taken out of equation)
Button B: swinging for the fences (susceptable to strikeouts, but reward is a bomb if batter's eye is locked on to the pitch)

                            Gameplay Wishlist

                            1. Players that don't run through each other etc.
                            2. Take out slides.
                            3. More accurate strike zone.
                            4. Payoff Pitching that works like zone pitching.
                            5. Pitch counts that are realistic.

                            Franchise

                            1. RULE 5 Please... This is huge to every Major League Team. George Brett, Johan Santana, Shane Victorino and many more great players have been acquired by the Rule 5. How can it not be a part of a franchise mode in a video game? It's as important as free agency.

                            2. Trading that makes sense. Need I say more.

                            3. Player Progression that makes sense. That simulates real-life player progression and degression.

                            4. PITCHER INJURIES & INJURIES PERIOD. Sure a few pitchers would get injured during a collective season in MLB 2K7, but no where near the amount that actually happens in real life. What is the point of depth and a farm system if players never get injured? MLB 2K8 needs to do a much better job at this.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
