I know this is not the ideal solution, but if you arent on xbox live it certainly wouldnt be too big of a hassle:

Xbox Live Silver accounts are free and allow you access to marketplace.

You must know someone that has broadband internet. Ideally, they also have a 360. If so, you could just bring your HD over to your friends place and DL the stuff there. If no 360, well you'd need to bring over the whole console and cables and everything, but these are just 3 minor league stadiums and some alternate uniforms. They are very quick downloads so you're friends shouldn't mind.

Just a suggestion. I'm not saying its the greatest thing in the world to have do, but it is a pretty easy way to get that content if you dont have broadband internet access in your home.

Is there any chance, (I know it is a long shot with 2K) ... but is there any chance they can have this stuff available for DL online, and have it so one can burn it to a disc and then install in on the 360?

Much like you can do with the 360 backwards compatibility updates, that MSFT offers you a DL to burn yourself?

Its disapointing to see games already not fitting on DVD9. Im still gonna get it for 360 because I can just download them. Plus the achievments and the far superior online.

Fish, what does EGM have to do with Game Informer. Two totally different magazines.

And what are you calling BS on? The down loadable content on day one? Just curious.

Why the heck is everyone freaking out about downloading content? They won't charge for this.

I don't know who stated they'd be charging for it.

The issue for me is they're essentially releasing an incomplete game, again. Last year, they didn't bother formatting the game for people with 4:3 ratio/standard televisions. This year, they release a game that's missing game content. Sad to see 2K consistently giving no thought or consideration to a percentage of their customers like this.

I'm not sure if I'd call it "incomplete." It's not like they are saying, "We can't fit this stuff in there so just ship it without it."

The content is there. The game is complete. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit inside the DVD. I'm not sure what else to expect. They could have just said, "It doesn't fit, forget about it." Instead it's, "We want the gamers to have this so make it downloadable on XBOX Live."
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Complete would be including a second disk with the content on it... standard with PC games AND some console games that have come out.

Last year, there were times where I thought I did everything perfect and would crush a pitch only to find that I was slightly early/late.

I believe the 12-16 frames means what it says. Every instance of motion is a frame (think of an old animated cartoon). Last year, there were fewer frames of motion where you could make contact...you know have more frames.

I don't know if this is just a result of them upping the frames per second or not.

I'm not big into the stuff either, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
It also means more hit variety...before u had 3 chances to hit the ball...early, perfect, late....so when u hit the ball u would either pull it, crush it, hit the other way....now wit different instances (12-16) where u can hit the ball it will cause ALOT more hit types/variety....even tho this shouldve always been in the game its impressive that they made that leap...

Here's another example: You go into a computer store to buy a program - say, Norton. You flip the box over and read: Unfortunately, we could not fit all of Norton's Anti-virus content onto the one disk in this box. Upon purchase, please visit Norton.com to download the remainer of the program. And I'm not talking about upgrades, which are normal for many PC programs and video games.

Imagine how long a company would stay in business if they did that. And none of them do. And the word cheapskates comes to mind now for some reason...

No, he just wants a disk to copy the extra content from the extra disc to the HDD. The problem is that it's not worth it for 2K to do this when the vast majority of 360 owners at least have XBL silver. You won't have to be a gold member to download this stuff.
