Robinson Cano just hit one off me that hit the foul pole and it made that "ding" sound. The replay showed it hitting that inside part of it towards the top and was ruled a HR.. rightfully so.

Dave Roberts stole home on me, on a botched suicide squeeze in the 8th inning. I was pissed but it was such a gutsy move i hadn't seen before from the computer.

          - In the demo, I had to make a fadeaway throw with Lowell. The throw made it and beat the runner, but Youk pulled his foot off first too early. As a result, the runner was safe (no error charged, however).

          - The umpire seems to be more generous to you as a pitcher if you execute your pitch more properly when it comes to painting a corner.

A similar thing happened to me a couple games ago where the pitcher was covering first on a grounder, the first baseman tossed to him and it beat the runner easily, but the pitcher stepped inside the bag going by and never actually touched it and the runner was ruled safe.

I don't know if anybody else noticed, but in replays (the only real time you can see it) when you turn 2 the players foot actually slides against the bag and not the tip looking like it does. You can actually see the foot going forward towards the bag then when it hits the foot changes direction, it is really cool and it helps to determine if the runner was actually safe or out.

Im not sure if I misunderstood you, but it doesnt matter where the ball hits, if it hits the pole its a Home Run.

On popups to the center of the infield, the pitcher actually gets out of the way and lets the other infielders field it. That's a nice touch, as it's VERY rare that the pitcher would field a popup.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
                    Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

                      Some more...

                      - Casey Janssen's delivery is spot on (even when I don't think he is rated in the 70s).

                      - Outfielders slightly squatting when coming in to catch a fly ball.

                      - Wild pitches that the catcher keeps in front of him but doesn't have control over.

                      - Ball physics

                      - The new sound of ball hitting bat.

oh man I can't emphasize this enough about how much I love to see fielders stop and plant when throwing the opposite direction.

Like on a ball hit between third and short, Alex Gonzalez gobbles it up, stops, plants and then throws.

the cpu tried to bunt between the pitcher and third and my pitcher scooped up the grounder, positioned his feet, stopped, planted and threw. This is so sweet compared to last year where the fielder wouldn't do any of that, they just throw in their hunched over position and still make a perfect throw.

I love the fact that some leadoff hitters will try to bunt their way on..

Chone Figgins tried to do it to me twice in one series against the Angels, and he was just barely out both times. Awesome.

Yeah. Sliding is a little thing I like. There foot is actually aiming and hitting the closest part of the bag that they can get too...really sweet.

I love how the players ratings and styles influence hit type. When I perfectly time a swing with Jose Reyes, the ball shoots into the gap for a triple. Hitting the same pitch with someone like Luis Castillo would result in a sharp line drive over the 2b head. Love it.
