Well those catchers that wear the hockey type mask irl (as baseball encourages) don't normally remove the mask. It would be a lot to ask for some catchers to do it and not others.

I assume that it's been mentioned, but yesterday between inninings they showed the "Chevy fan cam" and it showed the usual drunk guys, arms around eachother, beers in the other hands. WOW, excellent, I cant understand all the complaints about this, I think once you log out of your VIP before the game it is almost flawless.

Just hit a slow roller with DLee in between SS and 3B, and the SS was charging hard and the 3B was coming across and they ran into each other as the SS fielded it, and he stumbled a bit after they collided and couldn't get the throw off. It was pretty cool.

Last night, Big Papi draws a walk and Manny is at the dish. Manny takes a ball and then fouls off a tough pitch for a 1-1 count. The next pitch is in the dirt for ball two ,and gets by the catcher. Papi goes to second, and now we have a 2-1 count. They intentionally walk Manny with first base now open. So cool, and I have NEVER seen that before in a baseball game.

Try this cool feature. Next time you have a switch hitter at the plate, hit the R-Bumper button. Your switch hitter will cross over to the other side of the plate to hit the wrong sided match up. I have done this with Varitek at the Fen because he lifts the ball a lot, and I can use his righty swing against rightys to bounce the balls of the Monster. Very cool feature to be able to wrong side the switch hitters if you want. Great for moving runners over, or if you are more comfortable with the hitstick from the opposite side.

Switching slides of the plate might be cool to some but to me it is just unrealistic as can be. There is no way Varitek would ever bat right handed against a right handed pitcher. Unless maybe he is hitting off a knuckleballer, but besides that he would never do it for real. If I am not mistaken I dont think the batter even has to be a switch hitter to have them switch sides of the plate.

Do you remember when Reyes batted righty against Mariano because he's super nasty against lefty's. So it does happen in real life.

I love the background noises in many of the outdoor stadiums; police sirens, trains, airplanes, etc... Definitely adds a great feel to the game.
